Y/n woke up few hours later, in her bed tucked in the blankets with multiple snacks and drinks around. Baji was sitting next to her, reading a book silently.
"Kei, the book is upside down." She said as soon as she lifted her head.
He cleared his throat before throwing the book away and getting near her.
"How are you feeling ?"
"Oh, we're switching places."
"Y/n !"
"My bad, I'm still a bit dizzy but I'm feeling better, thank you for staying by my side when I was knocked out."
"I didn't stay by your side Idiot." He denied as he looked away.
Y/n slowly got up from her laying position, she grabbed Baji's hand making him get closer to her and slowly pecked his forehead.
"Thank you for staying by my side Kei." She repeated again.
"It's nothing." He turned around ready to get up but y/n's frail grip on his wrist prevented him from going away. "We have a meeting Y/n, I'll bring the others here."
"We ?"
"Yes, we. Stay in your bed I'll be back with the others."
Baji disappeared for five minutes and appeared with Mikey, Draken and all the captains and vice-captains of the five divisions. That was the first time Y/n met Kokonoi and Inui, she immediately noticed that the were really close, and she had to admit that both of them were really handsome.
Speaking of the meeting, It would also be the first time Y/n attended a meeting. Usually It would be super secretive that neither her or Hinata would be allowed. She wasn't the type to meddle with others stories, neither did she ask about them even when she had the occasion to.
That's why attending a meeting today out of nowhere was the most stressful thing ever. Which means that right now, under her blankets, she was a shaking mess.
The entire meeting lasted for about one hour, in which Mikey announced that there would be a fight in a week with the organisation that has been terrorising Tokyo for months now, Valhalla. Its acting commander, Hanma Shuji and Its commander, Kisaki Tetta.
According to Mikey, they clashed in the past and they disappeared ever since then. And them appearing right now only meant that they wanted another fight. But they didn't find a proper explanation to why Y/n was being targeted for a long time now.
"Y/n, we'll need you to stay in the back in case someone needs first aid. You'll be protected by the 2nd division, however Mitsuya and Hakkai are needed in the vanguard. If someone is in serious need of help, you can always take him to the headquarters." Instructed Draken.
Y/n listened Carefully as they explained that the fight would probably turn into a pure barbaric beating up. Mikey said that they don't use any kind of arm, however Valhalla is known for Its cheating, which means that by no way they would follow this rule.
"You can keep a baseball bat beside you in case someone attacked you, we'll allow that if It's you." Said Mitsuya. "You can always retreat if It gets to dangerous, we can't allow you getting caught in that."
Y/n nodded as she kept asking few questions such as when and where, she decided that she'll do another check up on each member and decide who can fight and who canno't.
"I don't want anyone to insist, If y/n judges that you can't fight, then don't. You'll stay in the headquarters. We can't afford you getting hurt, not under my supervision." Ordered Mikey. "If you feel any better Y/n, please start checking them as soon as possible. Toman had about three thousand men, obviously your team is there to help you you won't check all of them."
They all left her room, and Takemichi stayed there along with Chifuyu and Baji. They wanted to converse more with the girl.
"N/n, do you know how to fight ?" Asked Chifuyu.
"No, I never took fighting lessons or fought with anyone."
"Great that makes the second Takemichi."
Takemichi stood there, processing what Chifuyu just said before proceeding to smack his head and insult him with all his might.
"But you know, Baji-san would never let anyone hurt you. We talked about it earl-" Chifuyu earned another smack from Baji before both him and Takemichi dragged him out of the room.
"Takemitchy, I want to talk with you for a bit." Confessed Y/n out of nowhere, which made the other two leave them alone for a bit.
Y/n didn't know why she wanted to talk with him specifically, probably he looks like a good confidant, or maybe because he would understand what she feels right now.
"You've been in here for a long time right ?" Asked Y/n as she looked at her lap.
"Yeah, twelve years. But It's been the best twelve years in my life."
"How does Hina take it when you come back home all bloody and barely able to stand up ?"
"You know at first I always got caught in fights and she ends up patching my injuries. But throughout the years, I learned to fight thanks to Baji. We barely fight anymore, but I can still manage to defend my friends and myself. Hina scolded me in the beginning but now, she understands that I love my work and she doesn't scold me anymore. She's been supporting me ever since then." He said as he scratched his nape out of embarrassment.
Y/n noticed the blush that spread on his cheeks, that's when she knew that he really loved Tachibana Hinata. She smiled softly as she heard him talk about his lover, his fiance and his future wife.
"N/n, Is it about Baji ?"
Y/n felt her face get hotter by the time he finished his sentence, Takemichi got his answer even before she replied. Her glimmering eyes, her shaking lips and her contorted expression gave out the answer.
"You know N/n, Toman isn't an evil organisation. In the past, It crossed through the dark side but Baji was the one who kept it sane. After all, Baji was the one who created Toman. He's the reckless type, he would beat anyone if he feels like it and would break cars simply because he feels hungry. But you know, he's the gentle type with his friends, I see Baji's reflexion whenever Mikey speaks, they've been influencing each other ever since they were kids." Explained Takemichi as he handed her the flowers beside the bed.
"Baji would fight anyone for you and for every toman member, so you'll usually find him all bloody. But he's ready to fight the world if it means your safety is guaranteed. You just have to believe in him."
