He wanted to say it but he said it at the wrong time
You went to get mikey for school since draken couldn’t make it for personal reasons. (let’s pretend that could happen) You knew Mikey was sleeping in his room but still decided to knock on the front door and make yourself known. “Hey y/n. Mikey’s in his room just head over.” You gave a nod. “Thanks Emma.” You opened the door to see mikey still sleeping with his towel in his hand, hair in a complete mess and him drooling.
“Mikey?” You gently shake him awake. Rubbing his eyes slowly, he’s finally able to see you properly. “Where’s kenchin? You don’t come over alone to get me.” You were picking up a few things that were scattered around the floor. “He had some personal stuff to take care of so he told me to get you.” Mikey got up from his bed yawning and walked up to you. “I love you.” He wrapped his arms around your waist. “I’m gonna get breakfast. Pretend I never said that.” He left. While walking to the main house he repeatedly kept saying shit in his mind because his drowsy state made him say that at the wrong time.
