You were an exchange student from (country),and you were in mikey’s class. Literal months pass, and you made a few friends, though there’s this guy always sleeping during class who you found out to be sano manjiro, a delinquent.
▪︎ You never really took an interest in him too much, since he never really talks because he’s always sleeping, and if he’s not sleeping he’s with a tall guy. You brushed him off as another random student until there was a group project for one of your subjects about countries. Where you had to research a country and find information on their culture, facts about the country and anything else you can find.
▪︎ A very simple and basic assignment. But this teacher being the lovely creature they were, picked the people who were to be in the groups. sano and y/n will be group 3.
▪︎ Obviously, mikey didn’t hear what the teacher said due to him sleeping so you had to arrange something with him after class and get to him before the tall guy does.
▪︎ At the end of class, the tall guy woke mikey before you got the chance but you still went to him and he looked… bored, very bored and sleepy. He looked like he didn’t want to hear anything about a project. He yawned, gave you a small smile then walked off. Rude, but the tall guy who you found out to be draken, handled everything for him.
▪︎ You both met at the library over the weekend. Walking in, you see a familiar head of blonde hair resting on a table sleeping. You woke him and it went from there. To your surprise, he wanted to do your homeland, mostly because it would be simpler since you’re from there, but you didn’t tell him you were a foreigner.
▪︎ I heard it from the other students, was his response. In all honesty, he did actually listen to what you had to say about your country, he even tried to say the words that you slipped in while conversing and got very happy when you praised him for saying it correctly.
▪︎ After the library, you went to a small cafe, but after he ate, he fell asleep, so you were just there awkwardly looking at him, wondering, what do I do now? But draken came to the rescue and took him home while giving you mikey’s number.
▪︎ From there you made a new friend (mikey) then you made another (draken), then another (mitsuya) and more (toman members) along with hina and emma. Emma would oftentimes bring you over to their house, so you would see mikey more often than you would like to.
▪︎ But the project went smoothly and you passed. You were half expecting mikey to stop hanging out with you after the project was finished but he didn’t, you were friends after all. Mikey would invite you to sit with him during lunch and sneakily take the stuff off of your tray when you weren’t looking.
▪︎ As you spent more time together he would tell draken to not do his hair so he can ask you to do it instead. Mikey’s sitting on the chair in his room, you behind him and draken’s sitting on the floor thinking, is this a crush? Given that he has done it a few times, not doing his hair, so emma would ask to do it instead.
▪︎ But mikey did tell him that he was fond of you and planned on telling you but he didn’t know exactly how to go along with it. Therefore, draken helped him but draken is a bitch and isn’t the best person to go to with confessing. he had so much time to tell emma and he didn’t draken’s a bitch
▪︎ So they called in takemichi since he was in a relationship but again, not much help honestly, then chifuyu came with baji, then mitsuya and hakkai showed up, then pah, peyan, smiley and angry all showed up. And it became into this argument of how mikey should go about with his confession.
▪︎ And mikey’s at the side, listening to what they’re telling him to do, but he decided on a simple confession when he meets you at the library. Mitsuya, takemichi, angry and hakkai agreed with him but the remaining disagreed and told him he had to go about it in another way.
▪︎ In other words, they wanted him to do more than just a simple confession. Some said he should give you flowers, not that bad, some said to go all out and do a picnic at the beach or at the park. Get glowing signs and music on the sand saying ‘be my girlfriend’.
▪︎ But mikey stuck with his plan. He’s already a bit nervous about confessing, he doesn’t want to add to that by doing anything major.
▪︎ You went to the library together to return a few books you both borrowed and spent a few minutes there. From the corner of mikey’s eye, he saw baji, chifuyu, smiley and takemichi hiding behind a bookshelf, speculating. They were loud too so you both heard what they were saying.
▪︎ Baji: “Mikey’s gonna chicken out.” Takemichi: “He won’t chicken out.” Smiley: “He should’ve went with the picnic idea.” Chifuyu: “Can you guys shut up I’m trying to hear what they’re saying.”
▪︎ Mikey was shooing them with his hand under the table, trying and failing to not let you see him. Doubled with the whisper yelling? He wasn’t subtle at all. “Go away!! Go home!” But he did confess to you after they left. Despite the library being freezing cold, you could see a sweat drop on his cheek, showing that he was nervous. “I will gladly be your girlfriend mikey.”
▪︎ “She accepted!!! Let’s gooo!!” The librarian took quick and long strides to the four boys hiding behind a bookshelf. “You all have to leave, right now. Who was the one that screamed?” They all pointed to baji. “Traitors.”
▪︎ Despite their disagreement about how mikey carried out his confession, they were very happy for mikey especially baji.
▪︎ On your way out with Mikey, he interlocked your hands together while swaying them back and forth.
▪︎ He’s actually kinda interested in learning the language you speak because it’ll be fun in his eyes when the learning process is actually over, and he can speak it fluently, but he gave up after the first lesson you gave him. It was too much for him.
▪︎ But there are a few words he wanted you to teach him, like curse words, and small things that he just wonders about. He could see a bird then just ask out of curiosity, what are those called in (language)? then try to say it.
▪︎ There was one time he accidentally mixed some words up. You were both in his room, on his bed hanging out when he asked you to quiz him. And instead of saying the correct word, he said something else. e.g in english (I washed my shit. instead of sheet, uk what i mean? yh u got it) He wasn’t embarrassed by it, he took it as a learning experience.
▪︎ If you can cook and your country has some dishes you would like to let him try, he definitely will have a favourite and ask you to make or ask you to bring a share of it for him.
▪︎ Overall it’s a really cool relationship with mikey, despite him eating your food and sleeping on you at the worst times.
▪︎ The teachers thought since you were his girlfriend you could get him to stay awake in class and pay attention to the topics being taught, but that was not the case.
▪︎ You tried, only because the teacher asked, but he went right back to sleep and you never tried again after that.
