After breakfast Loki took me to the vault and instead of opening it like a normal person he teleported inside.
"So that's how you got in here." I chuckled.
"Obviously, how did you get in last time?" He raised a brow.
"Tony gave me a passcode to the door and I walked in like a human." I chuckled.
He rolled his eyes. "You also got hurt and released a dangerous creature." He joked.
I hit his arm. "Draco a lovely creature." Loki smiled softly.
The vault looked the same but the place that had the dragon egg was gone and replaced by a golden glove and a few other rainbow stones.
"That's new." I pointed to it. Loki stiffened. "What is it?"
"While you were gone..." Loki shook his head. "It's over now. I guess since you sheltered yourself you never noticed the 5 year difference." He walked over to the tree.
"What about that?" I pointed to the flower I saw last time. "Is it a magical flower?"
Loki smiled fondly. "No, it's my mother's favorite flower from her garden." His smile fell and continued to the tree.
I remember Thor saying it was just Loki and him now, which means his whole family is gone.
"It's a beautiful flower. She has good taste." I rubbed his arm.
We made it to the tree and Loki pulled off a golden apple. He held it in his fingers like the wicked witch from Snow White did and held it in front of me.
"You have to eat all of it, minus the core. Unless you feel like eating at of it." He chuckled softly. I smiled and took the apple from him.
Do I want this, yes. But only if I am always with him, I can't have him leave me. He says he wont, but I'm broken. What if I can't make him happy anymore.
"Ava?" I look up from the apple to Loki. "You don't have to." He said sadly. "I will understand."
I shook my head. "I do... It's just."
Loki cupped my cheek. "What is it?" He rubbed his thumb along my skin.
"What if you stop loving me. What if I can't make you happy, I'm broken. I can't even.... without flinching. How could you be happy with me?"
He wiped the tear I didn't realize had fallen. "I will always love you no matter what. We have years ahead of us, centuries if you eat this. We have time, my love. You will always make me happy." I closed my eyes as he kissed my forehead. "I want to spend the rest of my life with me." I pecked him on the lips. He chuckled.
