Episode 1 part 1: Not So Happy Campers

The camera faded in as man, standing on a dock, spoke, "Yo! We're comin at you live from Camp Jabberwok! Somewhere near Japan! I'm your dashing host, Chris McLean, dropping season 1 of the hottest new reality show on television right now! Here's the deal, 24 campers have signed up to spend eight weeks right here at this crummy old summer camp, they'll compete in challenges against each other, then have to face the judgment of there fellow campers. Every few days, one team will either win a reward or watch one of their team members walk down the dock of despair, take a ride on the boat of losers, and leave Total Drama Island for good. There fate will be decided here, at the dramatic campfire ceremonies where each week all, but one camper will receive a marshmallow. In the end, only one will be left standing and will be rewarded with a small fortune which let's face it, they'll probably blow in a week." He chuckled. "To survive they'll have to battle black flies, grizzly bears, disgusting camp food, and each other. Every moment will be caught on one of the hundreds of cameras situated all over the camp. Who will buckle under the pressure? Find out here, on Total Drama Island!"

The camera once again faded in, after a very catchy theme song, to Chris standing on a dock, "Welcome back to total drama island! It's time to meet our campers!"

A boat pulled up and a small girl in a wide skirt stepped off with her things.

"Chihiro! Welcome!" Chihiro greeted the girl.

Chihiro was too distracted to notice the man as she around looked in surprise, "This isn't the place from the pictures?"

"Sure it is!" Chris replied and then lowered his voice, "Just with some photo shop touch ups..."

"Wow! Chris McLean!" She gawked.

"Yes, I'm aware. Now, please go stand at the other end of the dock." Chris ordered and Chihiro nodded, doing as told.

Another boat came, dropping off a small boy with purple hair. He eyed his host before beaming, "Woah, oh my gosh!"

"Please save your awe-"

"I didn't expect the budget for some dumb reality show like this to be so high!- I mean an entire island, and not too bad of one either... I thought for sure after seeing those pictures that this place would be a dump." Kokichi decided to stop messing with him and then turned with faked surprise to Chris, noting his hurt ego clear to him by the expression on his face, "Oh! Wow Chris McLean! Its so cool to meet you!"

"That's more like it." Chris said to himself as he ushered Kokichi to the end of the dock.

The next boat arrived and anyone could feel the energy she had radiating off her. Before Chris had a chance to introduce the contestant, she did so herself, in song,

"I-buki-mio-da! Put it together and what do you get? Ibuki Mioda!"

"Yeah, great." Chris said, "Way to put me out the job. Now move along."

The smile on her face didn't fall as she joined her fellow competitors at the end of the dock.

"Hello, I'm Chihiro Fujasaki, I- I like your voice..." Chihiro said weekly.

"Yeah, it's sooooo good." Kokichi said with clear sarcasm.

"Aw! Thank you!" Ibuki replied, "Will you two be on my team?"

"Oh I sure hope so!" Kokichi said, once again with a fake smile.

The next competitor was quite different compared to the first three. He was very tall and very muscular, and he had an insane looking orange pompadour that somehow didn't take away from his rather intimidating demeanor.
