Richie looked at his reflection looking back at him in the mirror as he twisted the tie into the fabric of his slightly wrinkled white shirt. His eyes has been red and puffy from crying just a couple of hours before this moment, sure he was happy for his best friend of around 40 years, I mean he was getting married, he found the person who makes him happy, even though Richie always hoped that he made Eddie the most happy.

Great, there they were again, those pesky little tears that just seemed to begin welling in his glistening chestnut eyes time and time again.

Richie carefully rubbed his eyes underneath his glasses while taking a deep breath that said "You can do this Richie, just fucking be there to support your best friend and get it over with."

Richie then grabbed the blazer that was dangling from the edge of his rather large mirror and put it on, covering his back, arms, and sides. He suddenly heard a slight buzz come from beside him and he saw the face down phone, projecting some light onto the bedside table. Richie took another long deep breath as he picked up his phone and saw that the losers were typing in the groupchat telling Richie to hurry his ass up and get downstairs to the hotel lobby.

Richie let out a quiet chuckle and looked back in the mirror one last time, wanting to look the absolute best for his best friend Eddie's wedding. He grabbed his pack of cigarettes that were also sitting on the bedside table, Eddie hated when Richie smoked but Richie knew he would need them for today, which is the reason why he had bought them the night before at some rundown gas station about a block away from the hotel he and the losers were staying at. He hadn't smoked in around 10 years after breaking his habit but last night he figured he wanted to be prepared for what would probably be the hardest day of his life.

He couldn't bare to see the man he had been in love with since the age of 13 get married to someone else who wasn't him. But what kind of person would he be if he didn't show up to his own best friend's wedding?

Richie stood in the elevator as it slowly went down to the lobby, luckily never stopping at another floor to pick up any others who wanted to use the elevator. His phone lit up again from yet another notification from the losers club groupchat asking Richie where the hell he was at, but as he turned his phone on, it revealed a photo of the losers club from a few years back, of course Richie was by Eddie like he was in every photo with the whole group, and with that Richie could feel his smile of reminiscing good times turn into a cold frown.

It seemed as his life was flashing before his eyes, only it was full of memories of his and Eddie's friendship. Images of them fighting over a hammock in some sketchy hideout, playfully pushing each other underwater on hot summer days spent at the quarry, reading comic books together late at night at weekend sleepovers, and-

His thoughts were quickly interrupted by the sound of a dinging noise, indicating that the elevator had stopped and he had reached where he was supposed to be. As the doors opened he saw the familiar faces of his friends he had known basically his whole life.

"Geez tozier, what the hell were you doing?" Bev asked playfully.

"Your mom, thanks for asking." Richie said with a smug toothy grin. Stan only rolled his eyes at this as he looked hesitantly at his watch.

"Oh guys, Eddie just texted, the limo is here!" Bill said as he quickly snapped his head back up away from his phone, his speech had been so clear these past couple decades, it would be hard to believe he ever used to have a bad stutter.

The losers surpised Eddie with a limo for his wedding that he could pick them up in on the way to his wedding, even though Eddie insisted he didn't want a big wedding indicating he didn't want to have any big things like that done, he said he would just be fine with riding with Richie on the way there, but the losers being the losers wanted to do something nice for their friend.

Richie didn't know how he was going to face Eddie and act like he wasn't totally devastated at the fact he was getting married. "You've been hiding your feelings for him since you were 13, what's another day?" he thought to himself, the thought sort of calming his nerves.
