He put on his classic Richie smile, acting like everything was fine when really all he wanted to do was go back to his hotel room to cry and be alone. There were times where he almost confessed his feelings to Eddie, but everytime he chickened out, having the defening fear of rejection coursing through his vains. There was one night though, about 6 months ago when the losers had met up at Jade of The Orient to have dinner. That was their usual hangout spot, getting dirty glances from the other groups of people who were just trying to eat peacefully, but the sounds of the losers loud laughs and loud speaking didn't really help.

He planned on telling Eddie after the other losers had left, he was shaking the whole dinner, feeling like he was about to have one hundred heart attacks all at once, but distracting himself by cracking his jokes and making your mom jokes that really seemed to get a rise out of Eddie. Richie had known Eddie had been seeing some woman named Myra for a couple of months so he didn't expect for anything to happen which hurt, but he understood that Eddie was in a relationship.

It wasn't till in the middle of dinner, Eddie cleared his throat loudly trying to get the losers attention. That's when he had announced that he had proposed to Myra, only he didn't seem to happy about it, usually while giving someone this kind of news they would be talking with a huge grin on their face, their eyes litten up as if they had just won the lottery, and basically jumping out of their shoes. Eddie on the other hand, talked calmly with a blank expression, Richie had noticed but that didn't matter, he was heartbroken. He knew that Eddie would never in a million years like Richie Tozier who had gone by the nickname Trashmouth for his whole life because of his dirty mouth, but this, engaged? It seemed to final and with that Richie could feel his stomach churning with rejection and disgust.

The losers noticed the pale look on Richie's face and looked at him concerned, but before Richie could get anything out, he quickly excused himself from the table and ran towards the bathroom before emptying his guts out into the toilet bowl in the resteraunt's bathroom.

Eddie rushed into the bathroom asking Richie if he was okay and what was wrong, Richie knew that now he definelty couldn't say the truth and had just replied saying the food for some reason hadn't agreed with his stomach, Eddie gave him a whole speech on how he needed to be careful on what and how he ate and offered some of the many medications he had in the pockets of his jacket, but Richie had declined not daring to look into Eddie's eyes.

Eddie then gave Richie a hug, which Richie found strange since Eddie never usually got anywhere near someone if they had been sick, even if it was just food poisoning, Richie could've swore he heard a sniffle come from Eddie as Eddie's head was nuzzled in the crook of Richie's neck. Richie melted into the contact, feeling happy and forgetting the events that had just happened moments before but the relief only lasted a couple of seconds until Eddie pulled away from the hug.

Later that night Richie had found himself sobbing into his friend Stan's shoulder as he had finally confessed his long-hidden feelings for Eddie to Stan. He needed to vent to someone, and even though Stan and Richie had their fights and found each other super annoying at times, they still loved each other and deeply cared for one another. Stan comforted his friend, with a small smile as he knew that he had been right all these years, he always knew there was something more between the two boy's than just a close friendship so that's why he himself was even shocked when Eddie revealed the big news.

But now in the present, as the losers walked over towards the limo not being able to see Eddie's face yet since there were tinted windows, Stan patted Richie on the back as he could see Richie was clearly distressed at the situation, knowing this was really hard on him, Stan still couldn't believe Eddie was marrying Myra, he himself hadn't met Myra once, Eddie never really talked about her and when he did, it sounded like he was 13 again talking about his over-bearing mother Sonia. Hell, they even looked alike, exactly alike, same personality and everything. Only they had different hair and eye colors but they looked like they could potentially be twins, which honestly kind of weirded Stan out but he didn't ask any questions.

They opened the door to the limo seeing a distressed Eddie taking a puff out of his aspirator, he clasped onto it tightly as it sat in his mouth waiting to be triggered again. The losers took it as him having jitters since he was just about to get married and continued to congratulate him.

"Congrats man!" Ben smiled as he lightly patted Eddie's back.

"Thanks Ben." Eddie replied with a faint smile before turning to face Richie.

Richie noticed tears brimming in Eddie's eyes, making his puppy dog eyes glisten more than they already did, Richie could've swore Eddie was a human form of an angel, no human could ever be that gorgeous. Richie wanted to ask Eddie what was causing him to be upset but this wasn't the time or place and Richie figured it was just his anxiety acting up, considering he had just been using his inhaler seconds before.

"Congrats Eds!" Richie spoke up faking a smile as he sat down next to the groom.

"Don't call me that!" Eddie replied back trying to hide his smile.

"You've been telling me that for years and do I ever listen? Nope. Gotta keep the tradition going Eds." Richie said fondly, not having to force his smile as it just came naturally this time. Eddie giggled a little bit causing Richie to begin giggling too.
