We stood high on top of the mountain, watching the village Kohaku mentioned just below our feet. This is it. I thought. The source of our possible crew and man-power for our kingdom was right before our eyes.

I was feeling some kind of excitement within while my legs trembled in fear. Who knows how these villagers will accept us. Though I doubt they'd accept us wholeheartedly right away. I feel like they don't seem like the type to do so.

As we walked closer to the village, following the path Kohaku told us to follow, I had a feeling somebody was watching us from behind. My eyes vigilantly observed our surroundings, wondering why I was feeling this way. But I found nothing.

Even if my eyes were peeled, all I could really see was just lushes of green and tree trunks around me. I had a disappointed look in my face, still staying silent as my stomach twisted and churned staying alert. "Y/n," Kohaku called out to me. I turned to her and met with her raised eyebrows. She was aware of my anxiousness all along. But she didn't really know why.

"Uhm.. If you're- worried about the villagers.. I could usually talk things out with Kinro and Ginro, the village guards. So you don't need to worry so much."

I gave her a small smile for her concern. "Thanks." But the feeling of being watched was still behind my shoulders. I could feel some eyes watch behind my back, but when I would turn around I would see nothing.

Nonetheless, I didn't want Kohaku to worry about me and my probably just-nervous-ass anymore. So I tried my best to just suppress this odd feeling under the sheets.

As the shadows the trees provided started to vanish, I covered my eyes in greetings to the bright sun. We had finally made our way to the front of the bridge. "Hah! We finally made it! Can't wait to continue-"

"And where do you think you're going, miss? Think our spears were just made for show?"

Gulp.

I felt something frightening right before m eyes. A feeling that made my legs turn to immediate jelly that I couldn't move. "Tch. Don't go scaring off guests like that, Kinro." Kohaku moved forward, shielding me with her arms and setting me aside.

The man with brown hair had a fierce look in his eyes. His vision narrowing to us both. "I apologize dear Kohaku. But rules are rules. No matter how much you would rebel against it, I will never waver."

"Thank you.. Kohaku." I silently whispered behind her. She only gave a quick nod, before holding out her knife. "Then you guys leave me no choice. Hahaha! And wouldn't you look at this.. 2 against 1? Isn't that interesting.."

Her words were as sharp as her blade. Her menacing stare was villain-notch too. But even so, Kinro did not even flinch. Unlike the blonde boy beside him who could've probably wet his pants by now. I feel like his spirit is much more of a cowardice that a village guard.

"Hold it, Kohaku."

Senku interrupted. He approached the jar brimmed with water, and started rubbing his hands with.. soap?

Pop.

One bubble after another started drifting for the skies. Is he making bubbles right now?! But one look towards the village guards already decided who won this battle.

Well - in terms of knowledge, it has already been decided before we even came here.

The Kinro and Ginro were poking, getting themselves on guard with mere bubbles. The scene almost made me lose my cool and was about to laugh, but then I restrained myself. It's okay Y/n.. It's probably not proper of you to be laughing anyway!

I could sense Ginro's panic. He was frantically trying to "get rid" of the "jewels" but he soon figured that they'd only multiply. Sweat bullets were going down his forehead, and in the desperation to defend the village he..

"RAN AWAY?!"

With speed, his feet lifted off the ground making it look like a piece of cotton in the wind. What a coward! Fool! "I'm leaving this to the experts! MY SECRET MOVE- CHROME WE NEED YOU-!!"

"No need to shout for my name that loud, Ginro." I could feel another presence in the distance. A man with dark brown hair with a white headband, walked closer towards us taking off his cape. He seems confident.

"When it comes to sorcery, there's no way Chrome is backing out! So step aside all of you amateurs.. The pro is here!!"

...

"He's- interesting." I said, looking at him curiously. Confident. He looks confident enough to even say Senku would just kneel before him and beg to be his apprentice. But we all know that isn't happening anytime soon. Well, everyone knows except for him I guess. He still has that smug look on his face.
