"Generator.. Electricity.. We're evolving really fast!" I turned over to Senku who was already making his usual devious face. "Why of course we are! We're catching up to the 2 million years amount of progress the human society made."

I watched the sky silently while partially listening to Senku's plans. But sooner or later, those words of his slowly got muffled as my eyes focused on the vast sky more. I noticed it wasn't it's original blue color, but rather gray.

"It's gonna rain soon." I blurted out.

"Rain? The sky looks fine to me." Chrome looked up with his response. "Clouds aren't really close to where we are anyway. We'll be fine."

"Haven't you been taught to never trust the weather?" I cocked my eyebrows. He looked at me as if I was crazy, "I-is this something from the modern world tech-ni-li-gy again?"

"One. It's technology, Chrome. The word you said sounded like a disease. Two. Rain or not, it doesn't matter anyway since we would need lightning for our generator." Senku stepped forward, standing in-between Chrome and I.

"Well! All of you has heard my plan right? We better get going now before rain co-"

And.. There it was.

Rain came pouring down on all of us, bringing lightning as our unexpected gift as well. "Kukuku, well aren't you a psychic, Y/n. Always predicting what happens next."

"W-well my instincts never lie." I said, covering my eyes with my hands. "I was planning to make some things to prepare for the lightning. But it looks like we don't have much time after all."

"Then what are we waiting for?! Let's get those materials ready! We can't miss this opportunity now can we..?!" Kohaku shouted through the pouring rain. Senku chuckled, "Right." He said.

"Well, to make a generator.. I'd need magnets." Senku's hand was on his chin and he pouted. "Why don't we just use the magnets from the iron sand we collected?" Suika mentioned. "No, we need more than a natural magnet. We must let lightning hit an iron rod, and make a powerful magnet out of science."

And so it began.

Senku melted some copper, and started coating the iron rod with lacquer. "Lacquer has great insulation performance!" As Senku said. And about me.. I just watched from a distance. W-wow.. we really are speed running everything.

"I can't keep up with everyone.. I'm not smart as Senku or Chrome, I'm not a scavenger like Suika, I'm not as powerful as Kohaku, so what exactly am I..?" My eyes observed the ground. I'm useless at times like these..

"Being a medic isn't that bad.." I heard a voice from behind. "Gen.."

"You heal people from wounds, your purpose isn't that bad." He crossed his arms, and looked at me. "You don't get it.. I'm not a good medic either. Heck, I was never one in the first place. I just used advanced first-aid on Kohaku's injury back then."

As the rain started to slow down a bit, my hair dripped, as it was soaked with water. "Senku probably only made the decision to revive me because I was his friend. He's always been the rational type." I chuckled. Lightning misting my s/c skin. "That's why I refuse to believe he revived me to serve another purpose. He knew I was failing my medical courses back then you know."

Silence finally sank in. Gen was speechless after that. As if he really didn't know what to respond with despite being a mentalist.

"Heh," I stared at his grayish blue eyes. "You're lucky you got to achieve half of your dream."

"What?"

Didn't he say he was going to be wherever I was when we were younge- OH! RIGHT!! This guy still hasn't realized I was the same Y/n he was friends with years ago.
