𝕮𝖍𝖆𝖕𝖙𝖊𝖗 5

My head turned to my surroundings, trying to find the reason why I was feeling this way. The trees.. didn't seem to hide anything other than it's shadows, nor the bushes nearby. Although I found nothing after my inspection, the feeling didn't go away.

"Amazing! Now it won't be so dark at night anymore..!" Chrome continued to geek out with Senku, after they established the light bulb on top of the roof. "Science really is amazing!!" Added Suika who was behind me.

I tried to smile at the enthusiastic child, even though my stomach still felt like being tied in knots. "Are you.. okay Y/n? You're looking a bit tense." Kohaku touched my shoulders, and tried to pat my back. "I'm fine."

"This whole electricity thing is just a bit overwhelming for me I guess.." I scratched my nape in response. I can't let anyone else get involved into this..

"Hey!! Kohaku, Suika, Y/n! Mind coming up here for a sec?!" Chrome called out to the three of us from his tower. "A-ah.. sure!!" I shouted back.

"Well, if I won't be needed then I'll just take a walk. Man~ it's nice to get some breeze..." Said Gen. He started walking further and further away, and his figure slowly disappeared.

My mind is still in shambles.. I hope whatever Senku wants to talk about isn't too complicated. My head can't handle much anymore.

"Come on Y/n! Everyone is waiting for you up here..!"

"R-right!!"

"So that was it, Suika-chan! That Tsukasa person killed Senku just a few months ago!!"

"Well, I told you I'm still alive..."

Ah. So they wanted to evaluate if Gen is really a good person or not. "S-so! If that Tsukasa is evil, then that means Gen is a bad person!" Suika exclaimed. "But he also helped us defeat Magma, so that means Gen is also a good person!?"

"He's neither good or evil." Remarked Senku. "Yeah, he's just a glib-tounged snake." I watched Kohaku silently. Quite harsh there for you to say about my childhood friend, Kohaku..

But you're right. He really was full of crap in the start. In fact he might even be listening to this conversation right now.

"I mean you're not wrong..." I started. "But to say he's an evil person must be an exaggeration."

"Why? We all know he's a liar."

"But his aura says otherwise. I usually observe people often, and to what I've seen and know, he's not as evil as you think." I sweat-dropped. "Right, speaking of you knowing him Y/n," I looked at Senku who responded. "You were friends with him thousands of years ago am I right?"

"Yeah..."

Chrome then turned to me with wide eyes, "Is that why you're defending him so much?" Defending? No.. I'm not defending him...

"I'm not saying that I'm holding on to the past. I'm just justifying the truth."

"The truth huh.." Senku then started to clear his throat. "Ah well, evil or not, we need Gen to join our Kingdom for our plan to work anyway. We need him to spread the rumor; "Senku is dead." It's important for our victory."

I see.. Well atleast he have a purpose.

Chrome gritted his teeth, and dashed towards the tower door leading outside. "You heard that didn't you, GEN?! Tsukasa Empire or Kingdom of Science, whoever benefits you most doesn't matter!! It's definitely more fun in here!"

I was surprised from Chrome's sudden attempt to persuade Gen. But..

"Ah well unfortunately for you, I don't have the same passion as you, Chrome-chan. I'm the most eloquent man in the world, after all." Was all I heard before hearing footsteps going away from the tower. Kohaku even tried to fight back, but Senku stopped her from doing so.
