Flora.
"I want all these done by the end of today, call them, get the details, check them off and file them" He drops them on my desk with a thud, three black folders.
"All of them?" I say, slightly whinily as I realise there must be over 500 contacts in each folder.
"Yeah, you heard" He says casually as he walks away. I frown, following him into his office and shutting the door with a pointed slam behind me. He turns on the heel of his shiny shoes and stares me up and down.
"Did you not understand what I said?" He asks scathingly, running a hand through his hair.
"Why are you being like this?" I ask, a little hurt.
"Like what?" He says, innocently.. or as innocently as he could possibly.
"Like yesterday we spent the whole day in bed together and you told me... things and now today you're hostile as ever. I don't get it! What do you want from me?!" I ask exasperatedly. I watch him breath a sigh through his slightly parted lips.
"Princess, if you understood me there'd be no fun in this at all" He smirks.
"Right" I grump, just as I thought I was breaking him down, he's all built back up again.
"Work Daddy is different, you know that" He says. I shrug, turning around as I flick my hair over one shoulder and heading back towards the door indignantly. Work Flora can be different too, if that's what he's after.
I get my head down instead, making the calls, not going in to file them until the very last moment. Just then a voice interuppts me.
"Ah, actually doing work for once are we?" He asks. It's Niall, I roll my eyes, definitely not in the mood for him.
"Yeah, Boss' orders" I say sweetly, carrying on with my work as he perches on the edge of my desk. I wonder if Niall knows what Harry told me, he must do. But who else other than that?
"The big man about?" He asks.
"Sure but I wouldn't go in there" I mutter. He gets up anyway.
"Don't worry, he can't punish me" He laughs loudly at his own joke as he walks away and into Harry's office without knocking. I swear to god the day I can laugh off anything Harry says like Niall does is the day I win at life. What must be under half an hour later I hear footsteps behind me again.
"Leaving so soon?" I tease.
"Call from Dad" He grits his teeth together in an awkward expression, which I understand. Harry doesn't tend to recieve calls from his father well.
"Ugh great" I mumble as Niall leaves swiftly. I hear Harry raise his voice a few times over the next 15 minutes, not loud enough for me to hear the words but definitely to hear his tone. I decide to collect my files and head towards his door out of curiosity, knocking twice and entering. He's over by the floor to ceiling windows that make up the back wall of his office. I head towards the filing cabinets, he didn't even notice me come in as he doesn't turn but continues to stand by the window in silence.
I jump as I feel a large hand wrap around my wrist, turning round quickly even though I know it's only him.
"Don't creep up on me like that!" I mumble, my indignance shaded by his intense stare as he pulls me to him, never losing eye contact once.
"Sorry" He says, his voice low.
"What did you father want? If.. you don't mind me asking" I say as he continues to look at me unpredictably.
"He's insisting I come home to Cheshire for a stupid family weekend, he thinks it'll do me good to get away from the city for a bit, I'm becoming 'up tight' apparently" He frowns deeply, his jaw set and I can't help but giggle. Sounds like his dad knows him all too well.
"What?!" He demands. I bite hard on my lip. I don't want a punishment for laughing in his face now do I.
"You do seem a little.. stressed" I say quietly, reaching up to sweep his long curls from his forehead.
"Oh? Do you think..?" He says thoughtfully, almost smiling a little. I nod.
"Well if I'm going you're coming with me. If I have to go I need to work while I'm there and you're important for that" He says, smirking.
"Oh.. I erm.." I mumble nervously. I don't know if I'm ready to meet the family.
"No erm, I won't survive the boredom without you, my dad has been dying to meet my new assistant" He says, placing a finger to my lips and I nod once instead.
