Flora.
All I can do is as I'm told, Edward stands threateningly by the door, one hand clutching the door frame so hard his knuckles are white , I bypass him, reaching out to pick up my house keys as I go past. He grabs my wrist tightly until I drop the keys back on the side table with a small yelp.
"Edward what the fuck do you want, let me take my keys!" I say, a little scared. Why wouldnt I need keys or a bag. He just looks at me, face like thunder. I step out, the sky is completely grey and spots of rain are just starting to fall. Why didn't I pick up my phone.. god why. I take a deep breath going towards his green landrover.
I pull open the passenger door, terror and adrenaline in my chest. My eyes are brimming with tears as I realise a young boy of about 6 sits in the back, an ipad held in his hand, wearing school uniform. He's got lots of dark brown hair in curls and brown eyes. I pause, swallowing back my tears. The young boy looks up at me.
"Hey.." I say, trying not to sound choked. He looks at me quizically.
"Who are you?" He asks curiously as I heave myself into the car as carefully as I can, the cold air having nipped my skin as I slam the door. I try and smile reassuringly as Edward flings the drivers side open and climbs in.
"I'm Flora.. what's your name?" I ask, Edward cuts the naive boy off before he can answer.
"Finley is mine and Molly's son" Edward says, pulling away with such force it turns my stomach.
"Finn, this is daddy's friend Flora, her babies are your little half brother and sister" Edward says to the little boy who looks at his dad with such admiration. I swallow, Edward doesn't know, he has no idea that the twins aren't his. I have a feeling now is not the time to tell him the truth. I smile weakly at the young boy in the back feeling like I'm about to throw up as we speed round a roundabout, away from the part of London I know.
"You're having babies?" Finn asks me, I bite my lip trying not to cry and give a sincere nod.
"Yeah.. soon" I say quietly. The young boy looks at me and I cant help but wonder if he knows something is wrong with his dad.. or if he has anymore idea than me where we're going. I think Harry would love to meet him.
"Do you love daddy?" Finn asks. I shake my head first.
"No.. I'm not in love with your daddy" I laugh at his innocence.
"Do you like football?" He continues to question me intelligently.
"Yeah.. I don't really watch it though, only when Ha-..." I trail off, and my eyes flick to Edward who takes an extremely sharp turn.
"Who do you support?" I ask, trying to keep my breathing even.
"Manchester United" He lisps. I grin at him. He goes back to playing games on his ipad, we're heading towards the north, I can only hope somewhere near Harry's parents.
"Mummy didn't tell me or Miss.Brown that daddy was coming to get me from school early today" Finley informs me, a few minutes later.
"Mummy knows Finley, Miss Brown must have forgotten, what do you want for tea?" Edward starts the sentence snappily.
"Fish fingers and chips?" Finley giggles hopefully.
"Sure, we'll go to the park, play some football after?" He asks.
"Yeahhhh!" Finley yells enthusiastically, making me jump, I'm on edge to say the least. I spend the rest of the journey staring out of the window, for any sign of where Edward is taking me, I even attempt to catch the eye of other drivers at traffic lights, although I'm not sure what good it might do.
I realise that we're driving through Harry's small hometown, having come to cheshire not long ago but it soon becomes clear as we bypass the rolling fields that we aren't going to his parents, instead we end up on a winding farm track. This must be where he lives. I look at him, he's barely said a word, the journey has been excruciating and I feel so sick with nerves I almost asked him to pull over, not to mention uncomfortable sitting still for four hours. It's now dark and I know Harry must be extremely confused.
Finley hops out the car easily, running towards the house, yep. This must be where Edward lives. Edward comes to my side to watch me closely as I leave the car.
"Edward please.. I have to be near the hospital, one of the twins is still breech and if I don't get to the hospital quick enough things could get dangerous..." I say, fear tearing through me.
"You're being dramatic, you'll get cold out here. Lets go in the house" I take a deep breath, walking a head of him slowly, legs stiff. As soon as Edward opens the door Finley runs off into the living room.
"Upstairs" Edward hisses. I feel like I'm about to pass out as I ascend the stairs, holding the bannister desperately with my messy hand. The stairs are narrow in the old farm cottage.
"Left" He guides me down a corridor, following me into a room. He flicks the light on, just a normal looking bedroom, but brown beams cover the white ceiling die to the old nature of the house.
"Make yourself at home" He says deeply, stepping from the room and slamming the door, before I realise what's happened there the click and latch of the door being locked.
