Harry.
I slam the door hard, blocking out the freezing rain that battered me on my walk just in from the car, it was enough to soak through my thick wool coat and leave icy drips on my hair, though. I shrug off my coat, pausing as I hear the distinct strumming of a guitar coming from my living room.
I don't bother to pull off my boots, leaving slippery footprints on the hard wood as I follow my curiosity into the lounge. Luke and Niall are sat together, Niall seems pretty into playing, his fingers working at the strings as Luke watches on, tapping his foot, arm freshly out of the sling as of yesterday.
"Didn't realise you were turning my house into Abbey Road?" I say, both of them look up, surprised to see me in my own house.
"Harry! Did you know Luke's in a band, how sick is that" Niall says, pausing his chords. Grinning enthusiastically. I raise my eyebrows.
"Yeah, I did actually seeing as he's been living with me for two weeks" I say, shooting him an obvious look as I unwrap my Burberry check scarf. Niall shrugs off my grouchiness.
"Did you know Niall can play the guitar!" Luke gestures, I frown, having experienced Luke I see more similarities than I'd like between him and my Irish friend. I nod once again.
"He showed me their EP, they're goin' places, for sure, he's a big deal on the internet" Niall says frantically, reveling in his and Luke's new found friendship.
"Right.. where's Flora?" I ask them, changing the topic.
"She went to see her mum for a bit, said she'd be back for dinner" Luke informs me, moving Niall's fingers slightly for different chords.
"Harry's a quality singer, he's just shy" Niall says, Luke looks up, maintaining a smile, probably at my embarrassment.
"Niall shut the fuck up" I say quietly.
"You should see him on drunk karaoke, that's one rendition of Tiny Dancer no one will ever forget" Niall says embarrassing me further. I take that as my cue to leave the room. Pulling off my wet boots and leaving them in the hall before heading into the kitchen, putting the coffee machine on, with a shiver. I run a hand through my damp hair before I hear socked feet in the hall and both blonde guys appear.
"Nialler since when did you finish early on a Tuesday?" I ask, sliding him a beer across the counter, as well as one for Luke.
"Since ages, Harry you said I could" Niall says, pulling the cap off his beer easily with his teeth.
"You're an employability nightmare" I sigh, getting a coffee mug from the cupboard. Luke rests his guitar against the counter, sitting up on a bar stool.
"I can't believe Luke is going tomorrow" Niall says, looking towards the guy next to him.
"When did you two become best mates?" I ask, prickling a little. I mean no I'm not jealous.
"He tells me loads of secrets about Flora" Niall says, resting his feet on my worktop, I sigh at him, turning away and pressing the button for my coffee, the smell filling the kitchen.
"I'm pretty sure I could tell you a few of those but I don't think she'd want that" I say smugly.
"Ooooh" I hear Niall tease, I turn back around, leaning against the counter, holding the hot mug in one hand.
"I've had to third wheel for two weeks, I've been sleeping with ear plugs" Luke chuckles, taking a sip of his beer. I give him daggers.
"Good, I hope we kept you awake" I say, feeling a little better post caffeine intake.
"I bet they've been so cuddly and disgusting" Niall turns his face up in disgust before breaking into a smile.
"It's been gross" Luke confirms.
"Never thought I'd see the day" Niall admits.
"Have you said the L word yet?" He asks. I stare into my coffee, biting my lip.
"Erm.. uh no.." I say, tripping up on my words a little, I stare across the kitchen to the rain splattered windows instead. I watch Niall and Luke exchange a look.
"Do you love her?" Luke asks, both boys stare at me intently, I know the answer I'm just worried about saying it.
"Yeah.. yeah I do" I shrug, taking the final gulp of my drink to avoid their instantaneous reaction.
"I called it! I said to Amber, I've never seen Harry this mushy over a girl, he loves her!" Niall says, his voice overly loud as usual. I bite my lip nonchalantly, as if I haven't admitted it and I couldn't be less bothered.
"Don't you dare tell her, because that I will kill you for" I look at Luke who's smile promptly falls. I look at Niall too who has a devlish grin on his face.
"No, she needs to hear it from you! That's the point" He says planting his bottle down on the table, just as the front door slams. He pauses, silence ensuing the three of us.
"Hello?" Flora calls, her footsteps padding along the hall way. No one has managed to say anything and fill the echoing silence. She enters the kitchen, a bemused smile crossing her features.
"Is no-one going to say hello" She says, walking round to my side to greet me. I put my mug on the side snaking an arm around her waist and letting my hand rest on her bump, rubbing my thumb up and down her side gently.
"God what do you want? A welcome party, not everything is about you" Niall saves sarcastically, an award winning smile at his lips.
"Yeah, can't we talk about lad things without you sticking your nose in" Luke continues, she frowns looking to me.
"Have you got anything mean to say" She asks innocently. I shake my head, pulling her in a little closer.
