Chapter 9:Friends?

Summer vacation has been great. Everyday I have spent at the barn.

It is 8am. "Katie"

My mother,Yelled,waking me up.

"YES"I yelled back,annoyed.

"Someone is on the phone..."she yelled back.

I scrambled out of bed and sleepily walked down stairs.

"She wants to talk to you"My mother handed me the phone.

Who would want to talk to me?I am just a big loser in my class...

"Hello"I said through the phone.

"Hi Katie,it's Kennedy from the barn,do you want to come over to my house today?"
Kennedy seemed wide awake.

"Sure?"I replied.

"Perfect,my house at 11am?"

"Ok"I answered.

"Goodbye Katie"

I hung up.Weird, Ya, I've seen Kennedy around the barn every once and a while, but we never really talk...

I went back to bed. At 10,I woke up.

I ate breakfast and slipped on a horse shirt.

At 11,my mom took me to Kennedy's house.
Her house was a grey bungalow on Wade Avenue.

I left the truck. "Bye Mom"

I walked up the small stone path,and knocked on the door.

"Hello Katie" Kennedy's warm smile greeted me.

"Hey"I replied.

"Come on in" Kennedy's house was beautiful. I was then greeted by 2...happy... Dogs. Loki was one of them,He was the big one,not even 1 year old yet. The next one was Ferb, he was very quiet.

"Hello Katie" Kennedy's mom greeted,Sasha.

I waved.

I spent a few hours at Kennedy's house.

We played Animal jam,played with breyers,AVH Virtual Horse,and we took her dogs for a walk.

I guess Kennedy is a really nice girl. Maybe this friendship will work out...
