SEVEN YEARS LATER

Anyone who knew Hoseok in college might be horrified to hear that he ended up employed as an elementary school teacher, responsible for educating wide-eyed, sponge-brained youth, but in truth, he suspects he's pretty great at it. For one, he's not afraid of making a fool of himself (children love him.) And two, he thinks there's something about the eight-year-old brain that just resonates with him on a spiritual level.

In short, Hoseok is pretty happy with his job!

Unfortunately, today is the last day of school, and as he takes down the many, many inspirational pages, calendars, sticker charts, and art masterpieces from his classroom walls, he registers that this is also the last day he's going to see this particular third grade classroom. A tiny ball of grief materializes in his throat.

"You have Sad Hobi posture."

He turns, surprised to find Kim Seokjin behind him. He's not only Hoseok's best gal, he's also a teacher. Seokjin is also holding what Hoseok prays is a bag full of Korean takeout. He is hungry enough to eat the little jeweled apple clip in his tie, his tummy already rumbling and the last thing he wants is Seokjin to hear the earthquake taking place in his tummy.

Seokjin and Hoseok met about nine months ago in an online political forum, where it was clear they were both shared same thoughts because of all the time they spent there ranting into the void. They met up in person for venting over coffee and became immediate fast friends... Or, maybe more accurately, Hoseok decided Jinnie hyung(he started calling him that after that one coffee hang-out) was amazing and invited him to coffee again and again until he agreed. The way Jinnie describes it: when Hoseok meets someone he loves, he becomes an octopus and winds his tentacles around their hearts, tighter and tighter until they can't deny they love him back just the same.

And oooh, Jinnie is married to the principal of the school they work in, Kim Namjoon. Is anyone surprised though?

"Are you coming tonight?"

Jin's question pulls Hoseok out of his mind. "Tonight?"

Oh, man, how can someone be so effortlessly handsome? Hoseok groaned mentally eyeing the other's tousled honey-brown hair and a Greek god's facial features. And his charismatic personality just makes it impossible for anyone to hate him.

"Tonight."

Hoseok glances at him patiently over his shoulder. "More clues."

"My house."

"More specific clues?" Hoseok had never been in Seokjin's house. Oh my God, does that mean I'm going to the principal's house?!

The other boy sighs and walks to Hoseok's desk, "The barbecue. It's not an official work party but a few of the cool teachers will be there, and you might want to meet them."

Hoseok eyes him with faint trepidation; we all remember Hoseok Point Number Two. "You promise you'll monitor my booze intake?"
