-One month later-

The repairs on Hoseok's apartment are taking longer than expected, but they've managed to find a happy medium between Yoongi's need for order and the trail of chaos that follows Hoseok everywhere he goes.

They set the date for a Friday night, and agree to spend the evening at the "Yeontan's Bar", a kitschy little bar Hoseok found downtown.

Dae-Hyun—Hoseok's date of the night—shows up at the house while Hoseok is still getting ready. Yoongi lets him in, keeping his face neutral as they both pretend not to hear the horrible sound of Hoseok's singing from the other end of the house.

Mickey follows Yoongi and curls up near him on the coach.

"The place is looking great." Dae-Hyun nods, glancing around.

Yoongi nods too, it's awkward. "Yeah, it's cool."

What am I supposed to talk about with him though?

From what Yoongi found, Dae-Hyun is a nice enough guy— like, he's definitely good-looking, but he's a little on the quiet side. Yoongi's first instinct was that it would be a nice contrast in personalities, but now he's wondering whether Hurricane Hoseok might eat him alive.

"So this is kind of weird, right?" Dae-Hyun says, reaching down to scratch Mickey behind her ears but she gives him the most flat look. "I mean, picking Hoseok up here? The two of you living together? I wouldn't want to . . ."

Ah. Right.

Yoongi and Hoseok are still living together. And are going to a blind double date.

"Oh no. No." Yoongi holds his hands out in front of him. "Hoseok and I have never been, and are not, together."

"So you're just roommates, then?"

"Temporary roommates," he corrects. "Seok has his own place, but they're doing some work on the building and she needed somewhere to crash for a few weeks. Or months, I guess."

He chuckles as he brings the bottle to his lips, pausing to add, "No offense, man. I was just curious."

Yoongi's smile is wry as he takes a sip from his own bottle. He turns his attention to the dog. "Mickey? Potty?"

She bolts to his side, tongue poking out. Bending, Yoongi stage-whispers, "You stay away from him, okay? Also bark when he touches Seok, ok?"

Mickey barks in what he takes as agreement before following him to the back door and bounding down the steps into the yard.

When Yoongi returns to the living-room, Dae-Hyun is eyeing a drawing of a unicorn Hoseok doodled while he cooked dinner last night. It has two horns, a purple mane, pink fur, and a giant yellow penis.

Dae-Hyun looks up at him with his beer paused midway to his lips. "He's not like . . . crazy or anything, is he?"
