Chandler's POV, companion to 'I didn't know'.

I tried many times, just to tell you how I felt. There was something about you, that just said no.
I always wanted to consider us a couple. We even posed as one. I almost told you, but there was something about you, that just said no.

I always hated the bracelet. I always loved how you got one, just for me. I hoped it meant more, but there was something about you, that just said no.

When you left, it hurt. Ross told me, I had to accept, we weren't nothing more that friends. He know. I wished you did. Again, there was something about you, that just said no.

When you came back, I dared hope you returned how I felt. I dared hope so many things that night. Something about you, just said no.

When you told me about Janice, I looked so hurt, I just wanted you to hold me. Something about you, just said no.

I never wanted Kathy. I just wanted you to notice me. I wanted you to be jealous for me. Something about you, just said no.

When I slept with Monica, I dared hope when you came in, you'd save me, tell me you felt for me, stop me from making a mistake. Something about you, just said no.

When I kissed you, you kissed me back. Something about you, just said no.

When I had to tell you I was leaving, I saw you die. I felt myself die. I hoped you felt the same as I did. Something about you, just said no.

At the wedding, I hoped you'd say something. I hoped you'd get it wrong, that I wouldn't end up married. That you'd find some place for me. Something about you, just said no.

When you fell in love with Rachel, I wanted to support you. When I tried to comfort you as more than a friend, something about you, just said no.

When you got to kiss Rachel, I heard it. Monica was curious. I was just jealous. Why her, and not me? Something about you, had just said no.

When I came to this stupid house, in these stupid suburbs, when I saw how it hurt you, I knew. I knew you felt the same way.

But it was too late,

Too many times, something about you, had just said no.
