Hello, guys, I hope you all are doing well. Here's I'm back with the new chapter. Regarding the update, I feel there's some issues with Wattpad as many of you're not getting the notification. I don't know what to do about this. Let me know if this issue is yet to be fixed or it's fine now.

"There are people whose souls have just withered, people who are willing to go along with anything evil - anything so as not to be suspected of disagreeing with whoever is in power." ― Vasily Grossman

Nandini sighed coming to Manik's room as she found it still locked. She calmed herself and knocked on the door. But there was no response from him.

"Manik, open the door please. It's me." She called him again but instead of his reply, she heard the sound of something breaking from inside.

Nandini panicked hearing the noise. "Manik? Are you okay? What happened? Are you hurt? Please open the door. Manik!!!" She banged the door as loud as she could.

Suddenly she heard the sound of the door being unlocked. She inhaled a deep breath and saw the door getting open a little. She waited for Manik to come out. Before she could realize anything and ask him, she was pulled inside the room with a force and pinned against the door with Manik holding her hands behind her back.

All this happened so fast that Nandini didn't get the time to register things. It took her a few seconds to realize what just happened. Coming back to her senses, she looked at Manik. Their eyes were locked with other. She could see his eyes dark red most probably not getting a proper sleep last night. His hair was messy so as his posture. He was still in the same clothes of previous day.

"Manik..."

"Don't say anything." Manik didn't let her say anything. He stopped her pressing her more with the door and his eyes were cold.

Nandini felt her throat drying with Manik's behavior. She didn't witnessed this Manik since a long time.

"What are you doing here?" Manik asked in a dangerously cold tone. It sent a shiver through her spine.

"Ohh... I... I... came... came..."

"I don't have the whole day for you. Speak up fast whatever you want to say."

She tried to free her hands from his grip but he was powerful than her. So, her struggle didn't do any change. "I came to see you. I came last night too but you didn't open the door. I called you so many times still you were not picking my calls. Then your phone was switched off. Do you have any idea how worried I was for you. You...."

"Shut up..." He cut her in between. "Stop pretending. You don't care about me nor anything related to us. Whatever there is between us, all this doesn't mean anything to you."

Nandini looked into his eyes. "Manik!!!" She whispered in disbelief.

"Are you feeling bad hearing it?"

"What are you saying, Manik? How can you even think something like this? I..."

Manik left her and took a few steps away from her but they were still looking at each other. "I don't want to think like this. It hurts." For the first time, in all this, Nandini saw some emotion in his eyes. He moved his gaze in a blink. "But you've forced me to think this way. You don't care what I say to you, how many times I warn you. But you simply don't care. You have to do the every single thing I ask you not to."
