"He always wanted to leap and tear the throat out of a problem. He took no aesthetic pleasure in measuring a problem and living with it for a time before deciding it was even desirable to try to slay it. In short, he was more quick than wise. He never appreciated the comfort that a worthy enemy could provide." ― Walter F. Murphy

Nandini was talking to Manik about someone sending her parcel with Manik's name. But she was surprised knowing that Manik didn't send that gift box to her. Manik too got worried thinking of it. He said he would be coming to her place till that time she should keep the box out of her place. He also asked her to stay on phone with him but a few seconds later, her phone became unreachable.

Manik tried calling her again and again but he couldn't connect with her. Somehow, he managed to drive the car and reached at Nandini's place. He covered the distance within half of the time he normally needed.

Leaving the car in front of Nandini's place, he ran inside her place and he found the door was already opened. Without waiting anymore, he rushed inside but the hall was empty. Manik's heart started racing faster and he called out Nandini's name but he didn't hear any reply.

"Nandini." He called out for her once again and ran upstairs. He barged inside Nandini's room.

She was there in her room coming out of washroom. Manik sighed in relief seeing her and took her in his tight embrace. "Where were you, Nandini?" He cupped her face. "I asked you not to cut my call. Then your phone was coming unreachable. Do you have any idea how worried I was for you?" Manik stopped while checking her from head to toe. "Are you okay?"

Nandini was for a while stunned seeing Manik in front of her all of a sudden. "I'm fine, Manik. My phone's battery is dead that's why I couldn't call you again."

"Thank God that you're okay." Manik pulled her for a hug once again. After a while, he broke the hug as he remembered of the parcel. "Where is the parcel you were talking about? You didn't open it, right?" He asked worriedly.

"I kept it outside and I didn't open it."

Manik took a breath of relief. "That's good. Show me the parcel."

Nandini nodded and he went with Nandini downstairs where she had placed the box. They came out of their house and the box was placed beside tree.

"Nandini, you stay here and don't come near." Manik instructed her and was about to walk near the box when Nandini held his arm from behind and stopped him from going further.

"Don't go, please. What if there is something like the previous time? I don't want you to get hurt. It's your big day, Manik." Nandini was scared. Her voice trembled a little thinking about that night.

Manik stopped in front of her. "Don't worry. Nothing will happen to me. This time nor Soha neither Nyonika is here to harm you. Let me check for once and then I will be back to you. Okay?" He tried to assure her but she was too adamant not to let him go.

"What's the need of opening it? We can simply throw this box away." She tried to reason him.

Manik smiled a little. "What if there is something important?"

"But you said you didn't send it, then? If it was important, then the sender should have sent it directly without using your name."

"You're here with me, Nandini. Nothing will happen. Just stay here for a while and let me see." Manik freed his hand from her grip and went near the box.
