One year later...
Yavin 4 was in chaos as the Death Star loomed over us. Everyone was busy with the evacuation and I was stuck heading to the Ghost.
However, I was struck from behind in the head. I fell to my hands and knees, feeling a knot forming on the back of my head. I looked up to the Ghost and saw it taking off as my vision blurred and I blacked out.
***
I was barely conscious when a couple voices surrounded me. I wasn't able to focus on what they were saying, but they moved around me before leaving what my foggy brain assumed was my cell. I fell back into unconsciousness.
***
"Ahhh!" I cried as electricity coursed through my body and pain erupted everywhere, dragging me from my unconscious sleep.
"Hello Handsome!" A voice said from behind me.
"Who are you?" I asked, breathing heavily.
"Let's just say that I'm a hired gun sent to retrieve you!" He said.
"Great! A bounty hunter!" I said, rolling my eyes.
"You really want to be that way!" The man said. A crank sounded and my arms started lifting my arms up behind me where I was handcuffed.
"Ahhhh!" I cried out as my arms dislocated from my shoulders. (Think Adam Rain, the puppeteer, from Criminal Minds for those who watch it)
"Feeling cocky now?" He asked, turning off the crank.
"Go to Hell, you bastard!" I said, spitting at him.
"Oh, I'm a bastard huh?" He said, punching me in the stomach. I coughed and sputtered.
"Karrabast!" I whispered.
"Did you just use a Lasana swear word?" He asked, lifting my head by my chin so I was looking him in the eye.
"What if I did?" I asked, taunting him.
"Well, it just means that you've been in constant contact with a Lasat? That's really rare! If you lead me to them, I'd be able to sell them to pretty much any slave trader in the Outer Rim, even the Sex Trade because there's surprisingly a high market in that area too!" He said.
"Even if I knew a Lasat, I'd never betray them to you!" I said, my heart breaking at the very thought of betraying him.
"Oh, you definitely know a Lasat, or you wouldn't have picked up that habit!" He said.
"How would you know something like that if it's true?" I said.
"I spent some time with the Lasat people on Lasan before they were attacked by the Empire and I seriously doubt that's changed from the older crowd who survived the genocide, which is how I know you must have spent a reasonable amount of time with one to pick up that habit! It happened to me when I was there, and took a couple weeks after I left to kick it too!" He said.
"Why would I care?" I asked.
"You asked!" He said.
"Again, even if I knew a Lasat, I'd never turn them over to you!" I growled.
***
"Hello again!" The man said, walking into my cell.
"What now?" I asked sarcastically, rolling my eyes.
"I'm here to collect you to wait outside for my client!" He said, releasing my Binders from the ceiling.
