Five months later...

"Karrabast!" I whispered, stretching out in bed with Zeb at my back.

"You ok Alex?" Zeb asked, placing a hand on my round belly.

"The baby is just really active and kicking me in my ribs! Although, I will admit that they're strong, just like their dad!" I said, putting a hand on Zeb's.

"Well, this baby is half Lasat, so of course they're going to be strong, but add you as a parent on top of a half Lasat baby and you're basically asking for this baby to be a little terror growing up!" He said, chuckling.

"I know, but given that the half Lasat portion is coming from you, this little terror is going to be extra trouble!" I teased, jabbing him in the ribs.

"Hey, uncool!" He said with a hint of sarcasm in his voice.

"I'm basing this on knowing you and believe me when I say that having you as a parent and bad influence is both a blessing and a curse!" I said, chuckling.

"Ouch!" Zeb said, smirking before kissing my neck.

"Then don't piss me off!" I teased.

"Oh, believe me, I know better than to piss you off when you're not pregnant, I'm not about to piss you off when you are pregnant! Talk about a terror!" He said, shuddering.

"Bastard!" I said, elbowing him hard in the ribs again.

"We need your help boys!" Hera said over the com channel.

"But Hera! Alex is six months pregnant and is still six months away from having it! I'm not going to put him through whatever you want us to do!" Zeb countered, slamming his fist onto the island of the kitchen.

"Zeb! Easy on the house please!" I said, rubbing my swollen stomach. I glared at him from our corner booth in the kitchen from the table.

"Sorry Alex!" Zeb said, whimpering a bit.

"Don't worry Zeb! He's going to be on the Command ship of the fleet helping the New Republic looking at Intelligence reports!" Hera said.

"We'll do it Hera!" I said before cutting off the communication.

"Hey! You're not going!" Zeb said, growling.

"Oh yes I am!" I said, smiling and playfully poking him in the chest before walking towards the bedroom.

"Alexandr Kallus! Don't you dare leave this house young man!" Zeb shouted as I grabbed my Bo-Rifle and the Meteorite.

"You do realize that you technically tell me what to do!?" I said, leaning against the kitchen doorway.

"Will you at least think about it?" He asked.

"I have! I'm going and if in the end, if Ezra wants to make fun of you for doing this to me as an added bonus, who am I to stop that?" I asked, smirking.

"Alex!" Zeb whined.

"Look, if you're really that worried about me and the baby, just come with me!" I retorted, smiling before I walked over to him and kissed him.

"Karrabast! I hate you and your devilish charm and logic!" He said when we pulled apart and placing his hands on my widened hips.

"Isn't that why you love me?" I asked playfully.

"It's one of the reasons, yes!" He said, smiling.

"Uncle Zeb! Are you home!?" Cari asked, pounding on the front door.
