I see open fields
A forest clearing
The waves rolling in
I smell the salt
Feel the wind
Taste the rain
Hear the crickets
Everytime I close my eyes
It's always changing
I never know what to expect
But that doesn't bother me
Because I know I'll be home
I know I'll be wrapped in your arms
Where I'm supposed to be
Everything will be right
Nothing but love can reach me
Pain and Anger and
Loss and Sacrifice
Don't exist
Can't knock me to my knees
And it's all because of you
Your love's holding me up
I know it's hard right now
Since death took her claim on you
But this ain't a memory
Or a hope I'm dreaming
You'll hold me in your arms son enough
Cause even though life is the longest thing I know
It can't outstretch forever
And baby
I'm gonna spend forever in your arms
So hold out to the day
We know is gonna come
For now I'll be waiting,
