People die
Memories fade
And before you can open your eyes
Happiness has moved beyond yor reach
We only have one chance
Only so much time
To do it all right
To live the life we want
That's what it means to be mortal-
To risk it all
In hopes
To land upon that golden ledge
Instead of tumbling down
Our fingertips just brushing
Before we lose it all
One chance
So final
So important
But would you want it any other way?
To be able to see it all
Be able
To reach for happiness again and again
Every time it evades you
Able to do it all again
Until you achieve perfection
What remains important then?
If you can make it right next time
What do we strive for?
Live for?
Breathe for?
If it's safe to say
'Next time round'
What then?
If you could live forever
If you could do it all again
If you could get it right
Then what
WHAT
Would you live for?
