Chapter 1 - Starting Off

I woke up to the annoying alarm clock ringing beside me. I groaned as I turned it off and went back to sleep.

"CYRUS! Didn't you hear the-" I growled as my younger brother entered my room. "Grr. Wesley, not now." I said.

Wesley rolled his eyes. "Fine, if you're late, not my fault." He told me. I didn't care.

He sighed. "You want Cruise to rub it in your face?" He asked. I immediately stood up. "Don't you dare mention that fool's name!" I glared at Wesley.

Obviously, he didn't see me glare. My eyes are always covered by my hair. Wesley smiled and left my room. I scoffed.

I never liked school. I just want to be alone. I mean, who needs friends when you've got tons of fans.

Yep, Im a great gamer. I have my own Youtube channel and a Discord account. I've got a lot of followers and subscribers.

I'd rather stay with them than with anyone. I got out of bed and fixed my hair. I got my phone and scrolled around some comments.

When I finished, I went downstairs. My mom was already there. Always happy like she is.

"Good morning!" She smiled at me. I only growl in reply. I never liked my mom either. She's so nosy and happy, unlike me.

Her job is a psychologist. Its pretty lame if you ask me. My dad worked in an office. Boring job too.

After I had my breakfast, I groaned as we were about to go to school. I got my bag and followed Wesley.

My brother was like a complete opposite of me. He liked school and was a complete nerd. He has a girlfriend too I guess.

"See you boys later!" My mom said before hugging both of us. I pushed her away. "Yea, whatever." I replied.

"Bye mom!" Wesley answered her. I roll my eyes and continue walking. This is how an average day always starts for me.

I took out my phone and started texting. "Who are you talking, too?" Wesley tried to look but I moved it away.

"Fans. You wouldn't understand." I told him as I continued texting. Wesley sighed and looked away.

"Hey Cyrus, remember Moni?" He asked me. I stopped what I was doing and immediately started choking him.

"MONIKA IS NOTHING TO ME ANYMORE." I glare daggers at him. Even if Wesley couldn't see, he knew.

I released him and it was a silent walk right after. Monika was my ex-girlfriend. I was in love with her.

But then it turned out she was just a demon who was using me to conquer the world. She broke my heart.

From then on, I swore never to make a mistake like that again. I could even say I got a bit more bad towards others, even my family.

I stopped texting as we approached the school. I sighed and pushed past Wesley. I seriously did not want to meet with HIM today.

But I did. "Hey, Cyrus." I groaned and look behind me. As expected, I saw the rich boi smiling at me.

"What the f*** do you want Cruise?" I glared at him. He shrugged. "Just wanted to check up on my friend." He replied.

"We're not friends. I hate you." I tell him before walking away. Cruise rolls his eyes and puts his shades on. He walks in an opposite direction.

I was glad he was gone. I then saw Wesley hanging out with Willow, his girlfriend. I rolled my eyes as I ignored them.

I just need to go to class. I really want to get this day over with. As I passed by the principal's office, I heard a conversation.

"So what exactly is your name?" "... My name is..." The talk got boring so I just went on my way.

I went to class. Some others were already there. Zane, Cydnee, Vin, Maverick. Just some of my useless classmates.

I was a bit curious though about the conversation I heard. I then felt a tap on my shoulder. I look to see Z4CK, or just Z4.

"Hey Cyrus! Hows it going?" He asked me. I growled. "Another bad day, why?" I replied.

"Did you hear there's a new student?" He asked. I look at him and shook my head. "New student? Does it look like I care?" I glared.

"Oh! Is it a girl or boy?" Cydnee asked. "Girl." Z4 replied. Cydnee then began shrieking. "EEEE! Its been a while!" She said. "How old?"

"I heard that she's younger than us." Zane replied. "As in, less than 16 years old."

Cydnee smiled. "Is she short?" She asked. Z4 shook his head. "About same height as Cruise." He said.

Cruise then smiled. "Well, I guess its my chance to get a girlfriend. Right Cyrus?" He looked at me with an annoying look. I scoffed and ignored him.

The teacher then came into the classroom. "Good morning everyone. Please take your seats." She said.

"Today, we have a new student. She is younger than you since she is 13 so please be kind to her." The teacher then gestured at someone.

"You may introduce yourself." She said. Then, the new student came in.

She was tall, for a 13 year old. She had white eyes and wore a blue hoodie with cat ears. Her hair was light pink and she wore sone sort of yellow headband.

She looked at us emotionlessly. "Um hi. My name is..." She paused for a while. "Blu." She said.

"Is that your real name, dear?" The teacher asked her. Blu nodded. "My only name." She said.

The teacher sighed. "Alright, anything about you?" Blu stopped to think. Then she snapped her fingers.

"I love axolotls and guinea pigs." She smiled. I felt like laughing but I held back. Though, I felt something I never felt in a long time.

"Alright Blu. You can sit beside Cyrus." The teacher pointed to a vacant seat beside me. Monika used to sit there.

I shrugged off the thought as Blu sat down. Suddenly, Zane raised his hand. "Miss, isn't it unfair that Blu is learning stuff thats too hard for her age-"

"Its fine." Blu interrupted Zane. "I think I can take this on." She smirked as she looked pretty confident.

"Alright then. I guess we can begin." The teacher said before proceeding to teach.

But I still couldn't somehow shrug off the familiar feeling of...
