***Monster's point of view***

How quaint. She fainted. She's much weaker than I thought. I picked up her linp body and carressed her in my arms. 'Pathetic' I thought to myslef, carrying her back to my tent. I set her down gently on my mattress, making sure she was in a comfortable position.

I didn't know her name but...I felt like it'd be something beautiful. Like Maryweather, or Gloria. It sure would match a beautiful girl like her. I watched her sleep for a few minutes before getting out a waterbottle I'd stashed amongst other things for her to drink when she woke up...if she woke up to be exact.

I let out a long sigh before sitting in my chair, pressing my folded hands to my lips. My gaze still fixed on her...Sleeping Beauty. That's what I called her for a while. After a while, she woke up. She looked tired, almost sickly. Like she hadn't eaten for days or something like that. She let out a terrified squeal when she saw me sitting back in my arm chair.

I just kept looking at her.

And she kept looking at me, her eyes filled with fear.

After a ten minute staring contest, I got up from my chair and walked over to the bed, holding the water bottle. She flinched when I handed it to her, looking up at me before taking it. She drank it in small, dainty, girly sips. Her hands shook and her breaths were short and sharp. I just stood by the bed, looking at her as she finished off the water. She handed me the bottle, her hands still shaking. I took it from her and threw it in the trashcan, before sitting at the foot of the bed by her feet. She pulled her knees in tight, as if she didn't want to touch me.

I don't blame her, I wouldn't want to touch me either.

"What's your name, red?" I asked, scooting a bit closer to her. "Jen." She said quickly, refusing to look at me, "As if you'd care...you just wanna kill me like everyone else in this awful place." I furrowed my brow, and sighed deeply. "I don't want to kill you." I scoffed, "I took you into my tent, gave you water, I'm keeping you safe, Sleeping Beauty." She looked at me, an offended look on her face. "I was dehydrated, and I was already tired. And you prevoked me."

"I was trying to help you!"

I smacked the mattress causing it to shake. Jen jumped slightly, a terrified look on her face. I sighed and closed my eyes, pinched the bridge of my nose in annoyance. "What's your name...?" She asked quietly. "Drake." I said quickly, "My name is Drake." She shuttered at the sound of my voice. I wasnt surprised. My voice was deep and gutteral, simply off putting.

My heartsank to my stomach everytime I saw her frown. I hated seeing her like that. If only she knew the truth. That I didn't want to hurt anyone, that if I never came here...I'd never be the monster I was. I wouldn't be scary and ugly, I'd be a normal human again.

"I'm sorry..." I said, a hint of guilt in my voice, "...I'm sorry I scared you, I didn't want you getting hurt. I don't ever want someone to come here and suffer the same fate as me and everyone else that came here." Jen looked me in the eyes and placed a hand on my thigh hesataintly. I was shocked that she'd even touch me, let alone smile.

Her smile was beautiful. Perfect...wonderful....glorious. I tried to smile back but...I had horrible, sharp, disgusting teeth. I could only give a sad looking closed mouth smile. I watched her face fall slightly at the sight of my half hearted smile.

I killed me inside.

"I...I'm sorry about all of this." Jen whispered, "I didn't realize that you cared." I felt my heart sink to the pit of my stomach. She would never get out of here alive. Not with the ring master...my boss...keeping an eye on everyone in here. I soon found myself lost in her pale green eyes. They were beautiful, like a forest, filled with trees bearing plenty of fruits. And much like animals finding refuge in a tree, I felt like was home when I looked into her eyes. Like everything was okay...like I had been lost and was now found. Without even thinking, I pulled her into my arms. Embracing her tightly. I heard her squeak slightly, but she soon embraced me as well. It had been so long since I had felt another humans warmth against me. It fwelt glorious.

"It's late, you can spend the might here."

Jen nodded and continued holding me close. Almost as if...

She cared about me.
