Third Person POV

"Susu? You okay?" Asked young Rebecca Reinhardt, nine years old at the time ; Sue had just fallen while trying on her mother's shiny red heels.

She sat up with a smile on her face. Sue was just eleven years old, but knew when to put a smile on her face and when to not, "I'm fine! Let's keep playing,"

Rebecca had just moved into the household, and Sue was trying her best to make her feel at home : this would be here forever home. Her mother, Eleonora, was also trying her hardest to make her comfortable.

Darcy on the other hand... that was a different story. She was a sweet girl, but she had a bitter side.

She had always been a hard headed person, even as a young child ; she saw Rebecca as a threat.  Darcy-Ann Reinhardt thought everyone would forget and neglect the seven year old girl, just because there was someone 'cooler' than her in the house now.

"Did someone just fall?" Eleonora yelled from the kitchen as she prepared a plate for her youngest daughter.

Darcy was sitting at their table, hanging her feet off her chair, "Sue and Rebecca playing with your clothes!" She was a tattletale ; that was just the way she was. At least at that time.

"We're fine!" Sue yelled from her mother's bedroom, making it siren and circle around the small house.

Eleonora rolled in eyes in annoyance as she cooked grits for her youngest daughter ; Darcy hated grits so much, but her mother always forced her to eat them. She said that grits gave her energy and power, even though it just made Darcy feel bitter inside.

Darcy snickered at the comment that her sister had just loosely thrown, "Liars." Her mother caught the small words that her young child had spoken, "Please Darcy. Just try and be nice,"

Just as Eleonora spoke, Sue and Rebecca could be heard running out of their home through the back door ; which was leading to the backyard. Eleonora looked out the window : it had been raining for about an hour now.

"For heavens sake... can you tell them to come back inside-" Eleonora started to ask her daughter, but Darcy was already on her feet walking to the other side of the small house.

Exiting the home and entering the backyard, she was quickly greeted by the cold rain touching her young skin ; she shivered in annoyance. Darcy saw her two sisters splashing in the rain... they looked so happy. That made her mad.

She wanted to have that kind of connection ; the kind that they had seemed to form so quickly. Why didn't Sue love her like that? She loved Rebecca more... why? Why wasn't she good enough for her? Why wasn't she good enough for anyone?
