Prologue

It's been a week since Agatha disappeared after the massive battle between her and Skylar. New York was looking like a military battlefield, buildings destroyed, dead bodies littered highways, it was a complete disaster.

Skylar hadn't left her room since those unlucky events; she felt guilty. Peter and the rest of the Avengers (including her dad, Tony) planned to cheer her up with a surprise. A surprise Peter had been planning since before the Agatha incident. To be honest, Peter was more nervous than the others, of course he was, this would change his and Skylar's future.

Skylar was going down the stairs to go get her breakfast, it was a routine now: wake up, go get breakfast, cry and go to sleep; over and over again. Suddenly Natasha and Wanda appeared out of nowhere, making Skylar's heart pound faster than a freight train.

"What is wrong with you guys?!" Skylar said, sort of shouting.

"You have to get ready," Natasha said, showing her excitement on her face.

"For what?!" Skylar said, still startled.

"You'll see," Wanda said with a mischievous smile.

Wanda and Nat helped Skylar get ready for the mysterious surprise, they dressed her in a plain lilac dress and black heels, they curled her hair softly and gave her natural looking makeup. They guided Skylar to where she had to be. On the way, Skylar asked Wanda and Nat several times where they were going, but they always responded with the same two words... "You'll see".

They finally arrived at the highschool where Skylar and Peter met. Memories started to flood Skylar, all the unforgettable moments she had with Peter, they were highschool sweethearts, everyone was jealous of them because they were the perfect couple. She was grateful to have him. Suddenly, Wanda snaps Skylar out of her trance. Skylar looked around confused, trying to guess why they were there.

"Can one of you tell me why we're here? Please?" Skylar said, begging now.

"Just follow the path." Wanda and Nat said in unison.

Skylar looked down and saw a path of pink rose petals. She looked up with a concerned look to the girls that were just standing there smiling.

"Is this for me? You know you don't hav-" Skylar started saying but was cut off by Nat.

"Shut up and follow the path!" Nat said, now getting annoyed by Skylar's obstinacy.

"Alright!" Skylar said, imitating Nat's tone.

She followed the path until she reached the hall where once long ago she had bumped into Peter, for the first time. And there he was, Peter dressed in a maroon tux, with some black Santoni shoes and his hair was held back with gel. They both stared at each other for what felt like an eternity.

When suddenly, Skylar broke the silence.

"Sooooo... what are we doing here?" Skylar asked Peter.

"Oh! Yeah uhm... This is going to be hard- No! Not hard, just that I'm nervous uh," Peter started rambling.

"Hey hey, calm down, just tell me," Skylar said with a slight smile on her lips.

"Well..." Peter started walking closer to Skylar.

"Mhm?" Skylar said with a hint of confusion in her voice.

"Y'know? I'll go straight to the point," Peter said firmly. "Skylar, you have made me the happiest man in the world. You made me fall in love with you from day 1, the way you are with people, your intelligence, your beauty, your cooking skills of course! And a lot of other things but if I start I'll never stop so... It would be amazing if I was able to wake up every morning and see your angelic face, to be with you and love you for the rest of my life and whatever comes after it... Skylar Stark, will you marry me?" Peter said with hope in his eyes.

"YESSS! A MILLION TIMES YES!" Skylar said with happy tears in her eyes.

And they kissed. It was a magical kiss, soft and passionate.

They heard claps behind them, the now soon-to-be husband and wife turned around to be greeted by the whole Avengers team clapping and whistling. Tony was crying happy tears, of course, his little princess was now engaged. They celebrated all night with drinks and games.

It seemed like it was a fairy tale with a happily-ever-after ending, like nothing could ruin their now "perfect" life.

Almost...
