Skylar turned around quickly and saw a building falling onto a crowd of people. Instinctively she flew to where the people were and with her power stone held the building in place.
"Run!" Skylar shouted. Since she didn't know how to control her powers she was losing grip and didn't know if she could hold the building much longer.
People started running everywhere, chaos erupted. Luckily no one was hurt. Skylar activated her time stone powers and put the building back in its place.
A little girl with a rag doll approached Skylar and hugged her leg. Skylar knelt down and smiled while fixing some strands of hair that were on her face. Her hair smelled like vanilla, it made Skylar smile, she felt a calmness wash over her. The girl's mom came running out of the hectic crowd.
"Thank you for saving us ma'am," the little girl told Skylar.
"It's my job," Skylar said, still smiling.
"We're sorry for making you feel not welcome in our town," someone in the crowd said.
"Yeah, you saved us, we should be thankful," another person agreed.
Skylar just smiled, but she asked herself why the building had fallen. There was no sign of an earthquake or any other natural disaster that could have caused it. Suddenly, Agnes came running to where all the commotion was. She struggled a bit to get to Skylar because a crowd of people had formed around her, apologizing for their attitude and thanking her for saving them.
"Oh dear! What happened here?!" Agnes asked.
"I- I really don't know... I was just walking by and I heard people screaming and when I turned around, a building was falling down," Skylar explained.
"Oh God! Are you okay? Do you want to go to my house for a cuppa tea?" Agnes asked, her tone suddenly changing.
"Uhh sure, why not," Skylar replied. She didn't have the energy to go drink tea but she didn't want to be rude.
The moment Skylar entered Agnes' house she felt her back tense up, something was not right. The TV was on and it was playing a kids cartoon. There was a peanut butter and jelly sandwich half-eaten on a table, a rabbit was in a cage eating some mini carrots. The energy emitted from the house made Skylar's skin crawl.
"Let's go to the basement, that's where I drink tea with my visitors," Agnes said, opening a door that led to a dark basement.
"And why do you drink tea in the basement? Kinda weird don't you think?" Skylar said, starting to suspect Agnes' intentions.
"You know, down there you can't hear anything, it's just perfect," Agnes said, a mischievous smile spreading across her face pushing Skylar to go downstairs.
"That sounds like something a murderer would say," Skylar said, walking downstairs.
"Don't be silly," Agatha let out a high-pitched laugh that echoed throughout the house.
Once she got to the basement, Skylar looked around; it was dark, there were no bright colors. It didn't really look like a basement, it looked like a secret layer where witches did their evil rituals. Wanda had warned her about these places, that she should never go near them, making Skylar even more scared than she already was.
There were vines all over the place, a shelf with skulls and a table at the end of the room with a book on it. Skylar had seen the book before but she didn't remember where. When she turned around Agnes was gone, leaving her alone in the basement. Suddenly the door flew closed and Agnes appeared from the shadows. Skylar had a scared and shocked expression on her face, making Agnes smirk.
