One week...
One week until I have to see her.
But I can do it.
I can face her again with my head held high. I can look into her cold eyes and feel nothing for her, just like I did with Tiffany.
So long as I have Alyssa by my side, ready to slay my demons and send them back to where they belong. I can do it.
For now, I need to continue reading. I've managed to score a few days out of the office and away from Alyssa to finish this manuscript. No matter the outcome, I will make it work with Alyssa.
She has been nothing but loving, caring, and sweet. On top of that she has a banging bod. Sure, a bigger cup size would've been highly appreciated. Something I could stick my face in and go motorboatin, but you know, she's perfect the way she is.
She's the opposite of Timay. Her eyes are warm and welcoming. Her sense of humor is light and fluffy. Her personality is caring and quirky and so innocent. Alyssa hasn't experienced a betrayal; her trust hasn't been broken and I sure as hell am not going to be the first man to do that to her.
I will finish Timay's manuscript to get an insight of where she was, at what stage she was mentally and emotionally. I'll do it to see her perspective. I will get to the end to understand where it all went wrong but I won't do it and run back to her on my hands and knees, begging her to come back.
I might not love Alyssa now, but I could, eventually.
I believe I can.
Closure.
I just need closure.
I pick the manuscript up, take a large gulp of scotch, and dive in.
"Actually," the doorbell chimes, a polite smile curling mom's lips in the corners. "Can you get the door?"
"Sure," I say, heading towards the door, pulling it open. I'm greeted by a set of vibrant, blue eyes raking me up and down, smile widening and dimples appearing. He grabs my freehand, planting a soft kiss. "Hello gorgeous."
"Uh, hi," I say awkwardly.
"Aren't you going to invite us in?" Daniel asks, ignoring my awkwardness or he's oblivious to it.
"Us?" I question, looking around outside and I see no one except Mrs. Hart walking her dog. She slows her steps, eyeing us from the sidewalk, her greying hair blowing gently in the autumn wind as she attempts to eavesdrop. I wave in greeting, and she waves back, continuing on her way.
"Nick should be here now." Speak of the devil and you shall tramp on his tail.
Nick pulls up in his metallic blue car, cutting the idling engine, and gets out like he's a model in an advertisement. He jogs up our pathway, a few orange leaves lifting below his white sneakers that stand out against his black denim, matching perfectly with the white tee and leather jacket hugging his toned figure.
I gulp remembering how well he handled my body. I push the unwelcome thoughts aside before I begin salivating like a fool.
It was a one-time thing...
I have never been fucked like that before. Don't get me wrong, I've had some mind-blowing sex in the past but never like that. There are so many forms of orgasms, so many ways to reach it but I've always needed some help.
