"Fire!" Richard screams as he lights the fire with glee dancing across his face.

"I love that smell!" Naomi says, sauntering her way through the sliding door, a bump visible through her pink dress. "It smells good enough to eat."

"Maxine had the strangest cravings when she was pregnant with Timay," Richard says with a fond smile curling his lips. "One time I caught her gnawing on a sponge on the kitchen floor surrounded by food."

"I'm ashamed to admit but I've been eating peanut butter on gouda cheese with a drizzle of honey," Nay shrugs, a redness creeping up her cheeks. "Do you have any?"

"I looked! Their cupboards are full of emptiness," Dane comes strolling out, Andrew right behind him with two beers in each hand.

"I'll ask Timay to get some," I smile, her name rolling off my tongue with ease. "Any specific peanut butter you want?"

"Crunchy," Dane responds. "She doesn't like the smooth. She's going to demand the smooth, but it never does the trick."

"Damn you," Nay sniffles, dabbing her eyes. "Stop being so amazing!"

"I can't help I was born this way," Dane retorts.

"I take that back, you're an ass."

"I have an amazing ass, I know," he smirks. "Thank you."

I laugh with a shake of my head, removing my phone from my pocket, typing out a quick text to my girl, listening to Dane and Nay bickering back and forth, Richard's laughter ringing out.

My heart swells with admiration and love for the woman who put this altogether, for me. She's come so far from the person I began to love in the beginning, and she's transformed before my eyes into a majestic butterfly, spreading her wings and becoming the most beautiful version of herself I knew she could become.

Timay Hues is one of the most unique women I've ever encountered – not like I gave the rest a chance, but looking back now, I don't regret it.

None of it.

It all started as mere attraction and curiosity. Something about the way she moved and rocked her hips intrigued me into doing something I never thought I was capable of and that's making an absurd proposal.

The more I got of her, the more I wanted. The more she showed me, the more I wanted to see.

Somehow it all changed into something more and I wouldn't change a thing about the way our journey was set into motion. I wouldn't trade the heartbreak and rejection for anything.

I'd go through a million heartbreaks if it meant we ended up here with me being able to call her my girl.

I'll change nothing about how we came to this point, nothing.

"Missing her already?" Aunt Lyd asks, mockingly.

"Don't worry son," Richard smirks, teasingly. "She'll be back soon."
