A.N - Hey guys I know i haven't posted in this book for a really long ass time. (A frickin year). To be honest I  didn't even plan to post any more oneshots but I was scrolling through my notes and found an extraction chapter I had written for another book.

It's gonna be left as a stand alone one shot here with a backstory that I will be giving very soon.

Also if anyone does want me to continue this book, let me know and I might.

Anyways  on with the chapter!

General Backstory

After the blood of Olympus Percy broke up with Annabeth trying to escape everything dealing with the demigod world. He moved away and started a pretty big company called Jackson Enterprises and has a girlfriend working along side him by the name of Julia.

Five years later Annabeth showed up at the company and landed herself a pretty basic position even with her very high IQ. The only reason she accepted it was in attempt to rekindle things with Percy.

Julia feels threatened by her and tries to make her life a living hell as much as possible.

Somewhere along the way, a couple months after Annabeth started working in the company she ended up in a serious car accident and needs crutches to walk.

While she is in the hospital she doesn't see Percy even one day and begins to rethink coming  to work for him.

Present

It was around ten now and everyone had already left, I couldn't blame them. It was Friday night after all. My team would most likely be at the bar having a good time, although I did want to join them...she had utterly consumed my thoughts.

There was no denying that my feelings were all over the place now., I didn't know what to believe anymore. Annabeth was just too big a part of me that I couldn't let go of. Even after these right years.

The hurt and pain I saw in her eyes this morning as she left my office was too much to shove down. I'd gotten so use to doing that but there was no longer any room to hide it.

I needed to be honest even if it would fuck me over again.

After packing the last of my files into my brief case, I got my laptop and made way for the exist. Since we lived in the same apartment building maybe I could just check on her then.

Or maybe I could send her an email? Text message? A phone call maybe?

I didn't get to finish going over my options as I noticed her office door open, maybe she forgot to close it? I doubted she would still be here at this time. Because of the injury obviously needed as much rest as possible...but to my surprise she was.

Annabeth sat on her chair while rapidly moving her fingers over the keyboard, she seemed frustrated.

I lightly knocked on the door but she didn't look up, "Yes Mr. Jackson?"

Her voice was cold, broken and hurt. Evidently I did that to her, but now I had to undo it. Whatever it took I'd do it.

"Its late," I spoke.

Annabeth shrugged and leaned back in her chair, "It is...I'll close up properly when I'm done if that's what you're worried about. You know I'm not that incompetent."

"You're not incompetent."

Her eyes glanced at me for a second before they fell on the turquoise carpet, "Your...girlfriend seemed to think otherwise."
