I sat at the table in the cafeteria with my boyfriend Luke and a few of his friends. They had just been talking about football and all that while I read my Harry Potter book. "Hey look, it's the new emo freak," Eaton laughed. I didn't know who they were talking about but as I turned around in my seat I saw the most handsome boy I had ever seen.

His hair were short at the sides and back but the top was a bit longish, he looked as though he had a lip piercing and he wore all black. His boots, t-shirt, ripped jeans and leather jacket had all been as dark as the pits of Tartarus but what stood out the most had been his sea green eyes.

I didn't know I had been gawking until Luke shook my shoulder. "What are you staring at babe?" he asked laughing so I made up the dumbest excuse yet. "The lunch lady was dancing," he raised his eyebrow over to the old woman to see her slightly swaying back and forth. That had been something she always did.

I let out a nervous laugh as I took one last look of Percy before going back to my meal silently. After lunch I headed to my biology class which sadly I didn't have with Luke. I was gonna say that I would miss him but then the guy with sea green eyes walked past me and took a seat in the back.

I felt confused. How had I never noticed him before. I mean last week we had gotten a few new students but I guess I was just too wrapped up in taking the extra notes to even realize that for sure the new hottest guy in the school had a class with me.

I wanted to hit myself in the face. What the fuck was I thinking? I had a boyfriend for Christ sake I couldn't be having such ridiculous thoughts like this I told myself before going over to my seat in the front row. A short while later the teacher came in and began giving notes which of course I took all of.

Before the end of the class Mr. Beckendorf had announced that we would be having an assignment where we would need to pick a partner to work with now. I didn't really have friends in this class so I pondered who I would work with when I felt a tap on my desk.

I looked up to see the guy who had been haunting my soul. "Hey I'm Percy, I know you don't really talk to anyone here and neither do I and my grades in this class are actually pretty good... so wanna work work together?" he asked grinning.

I blinked at him. "I– Uh– Yeah for sure," I replied stuttering like an idiot. He just smiled and pulled out the chair beside me before taking a seat.
Mr. Beckendorf went on to explain, "Okay class so by the end of the week I want a model and script with all the information you can get about a marine habitat."

Percy hit the desk happily, "Dang! That's exactly what I wanted. We are gonna be the best at this." I didn't really know how to respond so I just nodded while chuckling awkwardly as I had probably been as red as a tomato. "Can I walk you to your next class?" I heard Percy ask after some time. I politely agreed to let him.

As we passed by my locker for me to get my books he was suddenly slammed up against the locker beside me by none other than my boyfriend Luke Castellan. I was about to pull him off when Percy turned them around so Luke had been against the lockers.

My boyfriend tried to throw a punch at his head but Percy ducked then swiftly his fist came in contact with Luke's nose making it let out a crack sound. "I'm not someone you wanna fuck with Castellan," he said dangerously low before walking off. I was shocked but I rushed over to see my boyfriend having a broken bloody nose. Nothing like this had ever happened to him before.

About a week later Percy and I had met up once more to discuss our project in the back of the library. When he saw me he had immediately start apologising for the previous events but I dismissed it telling him it was okay that Luke was just being an asshole.

Maybe I shouldn't have been talking about my boyfriend like that but it was nothing but the truth. He had been acting like an asshole. To be honest in the three months we had been together he always seemed so self centered. He made of a lot of kids and teachers and would repeatedly get into fights. I couldn't even remember why I had started dating him in the first place.

Percy on the other hand seemed more gentle, like he wouldn't hurt a fly. That was until you fucked with him. He was a really calm person and I had seen him helping some kids in the hallway just the other day.

I guess I had gotten lost in thought when I felt something be thrown at me. Looking down I noticed a green M&M. "Wh–" I started but got cut off as a few more of the candy was launched in my direction by a laughing Percy.

I grumbled as I picked up all the candy pieces in my hand that had been thrown at me and chucked him at him causing him to laugh out loud. Just then the librarian came over glaring "I have had it with you two! Get out both of you now!" She bellowed causing me and Percy to erupt into laughter as we just gathered out stuff and ran out.

We were still laughing by the time we had walked across the campus to the parking lot. A loud cry is what had stopped us. Looking over not to far from us we saw a boy I recognized as Leo on the floor curled up into a ball. "Don't hit me please!" He begged but his bully just laughed and stepper closer.

What the hell. It was Luke. Percy and I immediately ran up to them. "Luke what the fuck are you doing?" I yelled at him but he just shrugged, "Oh calm down babe, I'm just having some fun with this prick," he retorted but I stepped infront of Leo before he had a chance to cause more damage.

"Fun? That isn't fun asshole," I snapped. He looked shock, "Babe you're my girl what are you doing?" I laughed before responding, "Actually Luke I was your girl. Definitely not anymore." Luke's eyes widened before he just stomped off in silence.

Percy and I then rushed to help Leo up. "You okay buddy?" Percy asked as we steadied him. Leo seemed a little dizzy at first but regained his composure. "I'm fine... thank you guys," he praised. We both nodded politely at him saying it was nothing when Percy perked up.

"You know... if you two aren't doing anything. Well school's done so what do you say the three of us go get ice cream?" Percy remarked while looking at me. Leo dusted himself off. "That sounds good," he replied. I also agreed smiling at Percy.

A few moments later we all piled into Percy's pick up before going to the ice cream store. This was probably the start of a really good friendship!
