Chapter Five

Tikki awakens from her slumber to see a black figure looking over her and calling her name she, now fully awake looks at Plagg and says "Plagg?! What are you doing here?" He replies "Well I can ask you the same thing! Me and my owner live here! Where is ladybug and why aren't you with her?" Tikki confused "Your owner is Adrien? ChatNoir??" He nods and then a lightbulb clicks in him, "oh my... is Marinette's yours??" She also nods. Well... this is something... they both say. "You know my owner has a crush on yours, we should totally get them together!" Plagg says to her but Tikki shakes her head, "nope sorry, my owner is taken by Luka! She loves him!" She says crossing her arms. "You know... Luka is two faced right? He beats up on Adrien for having any interactions with Marinette. He's got bruises to prove it. Even his father beats on him... poor kid has it hard" Plagg says while his smirk falls into a frown. Tikki now shocked says "wait what?? He does?? Luka seems so sweet to Marinette though.... Yeah. You know what I think you may be right. Let's try to get them together! I don't want that nasty boy near my LadyBug anymore!" Plagg and her nod in agreement and head back to sleep meanwhile as Adrien heads out of the bathroom he looks over at Marinette who seems to be lost in an anxious thought, Adrien puts on a frown and thinks "she must be worried about him. She's had a pretty rough day watching her boyfriend get hit by a car and not even getting to sleep in the own comfort of her room." As he begins to walk towards her to sit next to her and ask what's on her mind a loud female booming voice calls out for them. " ADRIEN AND HIS GUEST!! DINNER IS SERVED PLEASE COME DOWN IMMEDIATELY!! DON'T BE LATE" Adrien chuckles " sorry about that Marinette Nathalie is pretty loud huh?" He reaches his out to her to give her a lift off his bed " yeah..." Marinette says still in a slight daze of thought but breaks herself out of it and puts on a smile. Both Adrien and her open the doors to the dining room and both of them sigh. Adrien sighing at the fact that he's eating salad, mashed potatoes and baked chicken again for the 5th time that week and Marinette sighing over how gorgeous Adriens dining rooms is. Both Adrien and Marinette are escorted to their seats. Marinette who was about to sit down was motioned by Adrien not to " why?!" She says as a hard whisper, Adrien whispering back " We gotta wait for father to come in and sit down and give us the okay to sit and eat!" He says back as a hard whisper and immediately stiffening up straight hearing his father's loud hard footsteps approaching, Marinette doing the same. Gabriel walking through the doors walking towards his seat, pauses then sits down and motions towards Adrien to sit down and eat and Marinette follows along. During the entire time they were eating Marinette grew more and more anxious at how Erie and quiet it was "is it normally this quiet when Adrien and his dad eats?" Marinette thought while glancing at Adrien and then again at his dad. After their dinner was finished, Gabriel looks at the two of them "it's late right now and Adrien and I have to head to bed early as we have a long day tomorrow, he also won't be able to see your friend tomorrow in the hospital. So you will be dropped off by yourself is that alright? If so then you may be released from the table " he says as he walks away into another room. Marinette looks up at Adrien who is staring into his basically full plate with sadness. "Why aren't you eating Adrien? Aren't you hungry? You haven't had anything to eat all day" she says to him, Adrien looks up at her "haha, no worries! I had a big lunch! It's getting late now we should head to bed, we need to wake up at 6:30 am tomorrow" the two of them get up from their spots and head towards Adrien's room and shut the door. "You can go ahead and get cozy on my bed! , my sheets are replaced daily so they're nice and clean for you. I'll head over to the couch and sleep now, goodnight Marinette!" He says and flops himself on the couch "goodnight Adrien!" Marinette says as she lays in bed. both of them fall fast asleep instantly from their long stressful day both of them feel at ease as rain droplets hit the window with a faint thunder in the background, leaving a smile on both their faces. {will pick up again on chapter six this is all I could really think of and type, will try to punch out more soon ♥️}
