Keqing's POV:

Why is Ganyu looking at me like that? I mean, I know I have good fashion sense, but it looks kind of different than that kinda thing. I don't know what I'm implying here or if I'm just overthinking things. I continue to peer at the rising sun, not even daring to glance back at Ganyu.

--

"Ah, the sun has already came all the way up. We should head to school now. Yu, have you finished your drink." I ask Ganyu. "Yu? Is that a nickname?" Ganyu stares at me. "U-Uh, I guess.." I reply hastily. "It's fine, I like it." Ganyu smiles. "Oh, okay." I stand up from my chair. "You comin' or not?" I pick up my schoolbag. "Of course! Don't go without me." Ganyu pushes in her chair and follows behind Keqing.

Me and Ganyu walk across the street, our school being very close by. "So, weren't you sent here by Ningguang trying to save Teyvat? I'm wondering why she would choose the day she did to ask you to come here." I say. "Ningguang is full of mysteries. So is Hu tao, but Ningguang shows no affection whatsoever." Ganyu sighs. "At least the queen of hell is fun." Ganyu adjusts a strand of hair in front of her eyes.

"I guess we'll never know." I chuckle. Ganyu laughs back. This feels awkward. What am I supposed to say?  "Remember the plan from earlier?" I bring up the topic again. "Yeah, we should go ask around Mondstadt for anyone who knows the alchemist." Ganyu responds as we approach the school. "We should split paths now, but it was nice talking with you, Yu." I wave goodbye to Ganyu and start running. Ganyu waves back in the distance.

Ganyu's POV

I take the pin I made yesterday out of my pocket. A flag. I smile. Is this the real me? I guess I'll never know. I stick the pin onto my keychain and put it back into my pocket.

I really like that name Keqing gave me. Should I make one for her? No, maybe not. Besides, she seems like the serious type. Augh, Teyvat makes my head spin.. (like a screw :) )

--

I head into my classroom and sit in my assigned seat. I took my time to view my surroundings. There was a boy sitting next to me, eating a blue popsicle. There's no eating allowed in class, but he's eating it awfully fast. That must mean he's hungry. I won't say anything. He sure has some nerve if he chooses to defy the rules of the most strict teacher in the school, Mr. Diluc. I'm not sure I've seen sir Diluc smile or laugh even once.

The boy looks at me. Crap, have I been staring for too long? I wave and look away. He probably was a little confused, but that didn't matter. Mr. Diluc had just walked into the classroom, so I couldn't say anything. "Ayaka. Stop slouching." Diluc eyes the female. "Ah, my sincerest apologies, sir!" The girl sits up quickly.

"Thank you," Mr. Diluc clears his throat. "Students. Pay close attention. I don't need any slacking students." Diluc continues. Why did this man even choose to become a teacher?

--

"You are dismissed, cuties." Mrs. Lisa announced to the class, welcoming loud chatter from all of the scholars. I stood up slowly before realizing I had forgotten about my meeting with Keqing. I drag my schoolbag off of my chair and dash out of the classroom. "Goodbye Ganyu, dear!" Mrs. Lisa waves from inside the syllabus. Lisa never forgets to say bye to her students.

I exit the school, students almost running me over, or at least it felt like they were. I head past the campus gate and turn the corner. I see Keqing, her using her phone with a purple case and a Kuromi keychain. "Hey." I walk closer to Keqing. Keqing chuckled. "Lisa always dismisses last period late." Keqing sets her phone into her sweater coat. She removes her hairpin from her hair and rehearses a spell. A small, purple illusion dawns into sight. It then becomes larger, forming into a teleport waypoint. "This will take us to the outside of Mondstadt. Follow close behind me." Keqing walks through the teleporter as I follow close behind.

3rd person POV

Mondstadt was all pretty, Cecilias, Lilacs, Lilies, and Windwheel Asters filled the sky. The last time Ganyu had seen Mondstadt was through a portal, everything covered in ash and dust. The alchemist had once stood there, his pupils small, realizing what he had done to the realm. Ganyu shakes her head, trying to get the thought out of her mind. "We should start at the Adventurer's Guild. Katheryne knows everything." Keqing points at the guild fortress resting against a building. "Alright, sure." Ganyu nods her head.

The duo heads over to the Adventurers Guild, Katheryne going through papers and documents. "Ad astra abyssosque. Welcome to the Adventurers Guild. How may I help you?" The woman behind the counter recited. "Uh, have you seen an alchemist anywhere around here or know where the alchemist might be? My friend and I have been looking for one specific person." Keqing voices to Katheryne. "Ah, Albedo? He should be at the Knights of Favonius headquarters at the moment. Is that who you are looking for?" Katheryne smiles. "I suppose so, thank you Katheryne!" Keqing smiles back. Katheryne looks back at her documents, waving at us as we walk off.

"Are you sure we'll be able to find him?" Keqing asks. "If we can't, there's always other options." Ganyu said back. "I'll have to use magic to track him.." Keqing sighs and looks down at the floor. "Why didn't you do that earlier?" Ganyu gazes at Keqing. "Well, uhh, there are some drawbacks to my abilities. If I use too much power, I can pass out. Usually 80 percent of the time. I know, I'm weak." Keqing puts her palm over her face in embarrassment. "No, it's fine. Every good ability has its affects." Keqing smiles and keeps walking.

——5 hours later——

(setting: sitting in an opening with no trees in Wolvedom, both sitting next to a tree trunk, Ganyu's POV)

"I'm so upset we didn't find anything.." Keqing lays down harshly on the grass, the pressure making a loud crunch noise. "I know you didn't really wanna do this, but..." I hesitate. "Hm? What?" Keqing looks at me from the ground. "Could you use your illusions to track him?" I chuckle awkwardly. Keqing sits up and thinks. "Uhh.. Sure. It will be worth it." Keqing says. "Alright, just tell me when you are ready." I respond to her. I would make sure nothing would happen to her.

Keqing stands up, reaching out to grab my hand. I take her hand, hoping she couldn't see my face. "Let's hope this goes well." Keqing looks up at the moon and sticks up two fingers, drawings a line. The line glows and she grabs both ends of it, pulling it down. She bends it into a circle and allows it to float. She then uses Electro and taps in the middle of her circle, it glowing brighter. She rehearses a spell and suddenly, the inside of the circle faded in color. A second later, the circle shows the alchemist, but no location was shown.

a dark void. He was there. He didn't look conscious. Then the portal disappeared. I heard a loud thud and looked to where it came from. "Oh, Keqing.." I sigh. I pick her up on my back and leave the forest. This girl.. If only she knew.
