Dani's POV
It was now Thursday and we didn't have school today or tomorrow because the teachers all had meetings.
I've been thinking a lot about Hayes lately. I want to talk to him, maybe I should.
I put on my sneakers and walked to his house.
I waited a moment before I knocked.
*knock knock*
About 20 seconds went by until a tired looking Hayes opened the door with no shirt on.
"Hi" I said trying not to stare at his toned abs.
"Dani what are you doing here?" He asked, kind of shocked to see me.
"Well I-" I stopped myself from saying something. I just looked into his tired blue eyes. They reminded me of the ocean.
So I just went for it. I kissed Hayes.
At first he didn't kiss back, he was shocked. But then he started to kiss back and out lips moved perfectly in sync we both smiled into the kiss. It didn't last that long until I pulled away.
"I don't want you to wait any longer" I whispered.
"What?" His eyes went wide.
"I want it to be me and you. I want to be together Hayes" I smiled as I looked at the reaction on his face. He looked so shocked yet happy. he wasn't saying anything.
"So aren't you going to ask me out or something" I lightly laughed.
"Oh um uh yeah," he took my hand in his and intertwined our fingers. "Dani I've been waiting to do this since you first step foot in davidson day. So will you please go out with me" he smiled.
"Yes I will" I smiled and pecked his lips.
"Ugh finally" he said hugging me and burying his face into my neck.
I just smiled to myself. I think I made the right decision.
"I'm sorry I made you wait" I said pulling away from him and just starring into his eyes.
"Don't be sorry. It was worth the wait"
We walked into the living room and saw Elizabeth with skylynn on her lap.
"Hey kids" Elizabeth smiled when she saw us.
"Hi Elizabeth" I smiled back.
"Aunt Liz, remember that" she corrected me. She always does that.
"Okay okay sorry" I laughed.
"So what's new?" She asked as Hayes and I sat down on the couch.
"Um-" Hayes was about say something when sky asked an extremely adorable question.
"Are you guys gonna get married? Like Prince Charming and Cinderella!"
"Maybe one day sky"Elizabeth answered for us.
We haven't told anyone about us dating but for some reason I think Elizabeth already knew.
"How about we go get some ice cream? We can go pick up your mom, dani" Elizabeth said standing up from the couch and walking over to get her her purse and keys.
"ICE CREAM!" Sky yelled.
"Mhmm ice cream" I smiled. I love love love Ice cream.
We all got in the car. It was just Hayes, Elizabeth, sky, and I for now. We were on our way to pick up my mom.
When we got to my house I ran inside and told my mom where we were going and surprisingly she said she wanted to go. My mom does not like ice cream.
We got there after what I think was a 13 minute car ride.
"Mom this is a frozen yogurt shop not ice cream" Hayes laughed as we pulled up to a 16 handles.
"Well frozen yogurt is healthier"
We all walked in and got our fro-yo.
I got birthday cake mixed with cheesecake flavored fro-yo with butter finger toppings. Hayes got the exact same thing. Sky got vanilla with princess sprinkles (basically just hot pink sprinkles). Elizabeth and my mom just got plain chocolate.
We all sat down at a table and started to eat.
All of the sudden I felt someone grab my hand from under the table.
I looked down to see that it was Hayes. It feels so good being with him. He just makes me 100x more happy.
"Dani- hellooo" my mom yelled, snapping me out of my thoughts.
"Huh? What?" I asked.
"I asked you a question. How's your singing lessons been going?" My mom asked.
"Oh they've been going really well actually" I smiled.
"You take singing lessons?" Elizabeth asked as she ate a spoon full of her fro-yo.
"Yeah I guess I forgot to mention it" I laughed.
"Yeah she's been getting pretty go-" my mom started but she accidentally elbowed her cup of fro-yo and it fell off the table.
So she bent down and cleaned it up.
I stopped paying attention when Hayes squeezed my hand. I looked up at him and smiled widely. I'm so glad we are together.
"I love fro-yo" he laughed.
"Me too"
Dani's moms POV
I was cleaning up the mess I made when I looked up, under the table to see Hayes and dani holding hands underneath the table.
I say back up and whispered into Elizabeth's eat.
"Look under the table"
She looked down and looked back up at me with a shocked expression.
"Dani, Hayes, I think it's time we have a little chat" I smiled at them.
"okay?" Dani replied.
"So when exactly were you going to tell us that you're dating"
Both dani and Hayes' face went blank.
"Mom I'm sorry I was gonna tell you but if just happened today and-" Hayes started freaking out. I felt bad for the kid he looked as pale as a ghost.
"We aren't mad at you guys! We're ecstatic!" I said and they looked at me and Elizabeth in relief.
"But listen here grier, if you try anything with my daughter just remover I have permission to smack you upside the head" I warned him. I wasn't joking though.
He nodded his head super fast.
"Of course, I would never Mrs. Allison" he said.
"Welcome to the family dani" Elizabeth smiled and clapped her hands in excitement.
"Just remember we don't need little Grier/Allison babies running around" I laughed.
"We weren't planning on that" they laughed.
