Once Cat and I entered the dinning hall we saw a long table with all sorts of foods and pastry's. All around the room where fairly large round tables that I assumed where for us to sit with who ever came with us. We walked over to the large table and gazed at all the food. I didn't find almost anything that I usually would eat which was slightly disappointing.
Cat however couldn't help herself from grabbing a plate full of all sorts of sweets. Suddenly her eyes landed on caramel pudding as her tail wagged happily. "Ahhhhh! I wonder if it's as good as the bakers back home. Can I get it please Sol..." Cat begged as I softly chuckled. "You don't need to ask me for something you want. I can't stop you from eating your favorite desert. Haven't done it as a child nor will I do it now." I smiled as Cat happily hugged me and wagged her tail.
I hugged her back as she let go and quickly got some caramel pudding. Soon enough I began to notice other people start to walk in. I wasn't sure why they where here but I quickly pulled my hood over my head. Cat noticed and quickly suggested "Hey let's go over to that table and sit together." I quickly nodded as I grabbed a plate and quickly filled it up with all sorts of fruit. Cat and I quickly walked to the table as I pulled the chair out for her. She quickly puffed her cheeks once again annoyed as she flicked my nose. I shook my head as she sat down and pushed herself in. Once we where both seated we both softly poke amongst ourselves.
The room soon enough was full of all sorts of people. From elves, to even tailed dragonborne. I felt myself grow more anxious to the amount of people in the room as my leg shook under the table. Cat suddenly took a small spoon full of her caramel pudding as her tail wagged and her eyes shined with joy. "It's so good.... Just as good as the ones back home..." She mumbled as she swallowed the pudding. She suddenly got up and leaned on the table with another spoon full. "You have to try it Sol!" Cat smiled happily as she held the spoon out at me. I felt my face go red, far more red then the strawberry I was eating.
"Think I'll pass." I smiled nervously as Cat gave me a soft puppy eyed look as she tilt her ears down. "Pretty please Solrus...." she begged as her puppy eyes grew stronger. I felt my face grow red with embarrassment as I took the spoonful of pudding Cat offered me. She happily smiled as I tried to force out a smile without showing my embarrassment. After swallowing the pudding I softly stuttered "Yeah... It does taste like the ones back home."
I softly smiled as Cat's tail wagged showing she was extremely happy. I felt a faint smile form on my face as I suddenly heard a soft chuckle coming out of Saito's mouth. My eyes quickly landed on him as he snickered and spoke to Sakiko. "Bet their talking about me... What the hell's up with that stupid high elf..." I thought to myself for a moment. Suddenly I realized that Cat's ears where tilted back as she softly growled. "What's wrong can you hear them talking from all the way over there?" I asked Cat as she nodded softly.
Out of the blue Cat quickly got up off her chair. I tried to grab her hand to try and stop her from storming off but it was no use. Cat stormed over to Saito and Sakiko as she glared at the elf with anger. "Oh got tired of your little peasant boy?" He asked with a taunting smile as he noticed me and rolled his eyes. "Seems like the little peasant boy wants to lick my boot..." Saito smirked as Cat grabbed him by the collar.
"Shut your trap you damn nobel. Stop taunting and speaking of MY king he hasn't done anything wrong for you to be picking on him." Cat growled as Saito gave me a stone cold glare. "Like your one to talk you disgusting Demi. You should mind your manners near a nobel hell near everyone you don't even show a spec of respect like a true royal does. I'll let this slide but keep talking to us and I'll have you slaving away at a dungeon. Perhaps my men would enjoy having you with them, just as much as I would enjoy seeing them destroy your ego and dignity... I don't care if your a royal or not I'm not scared to teach you a lesson. Just like I'm not scared of beating you up like the dog you are." Sakiko insulted Cat as she replied "Oh I'd like to see you try and kick my ass you slutty whore pig." Sakiko and Cat glared at each other in pure rage.
"You know it isn't gentlemen like to allow your little girl friend to fight your battles. Hissing behind her is just a cowardly move. But, what do I expect from a little peasant boy... Now out of my way you worm!" Saito hissed at me as he tried to shove me out of the way. I suddenly began to laugh seeing that he wasn't even able to move me while I was in my fine clothing. "Yet at least I'm not like you who uses his nobility to an advantage. Your pathetic for hiding behind your nobility. Also did you forget a royal guard especially one born into a place is far higher then any nobel will ever be.... Oh and also at least I'm not a weak twig who can't push a man who isn't in heavy armor. Nor do I try to flirt with woman who are technically going to get married." I insulted as the elf grit his teeth.
Saito, Sakiko, and Cat held their weapons ready as I held out my arm with the Golden Dawn shield. Saito and Sakiko both laughed at my shield as Cat suddenly summoned a massive great axe made of bones. She held the great axe over her shoulder as if it where light like a feather. "Stop this foolery at once!" A familiar voice called out to the four of us as we all looked over. Inei stood near by as he prepared to pull out Hazirawn.
"There will be no fighting between heroes here. I don't care what went on but, it is disrespectful to fight not just indoors but inside a palace. You aren't children you are adults so act like it!" Inei scolded all of us as we all put away out weapons. Inei walked over and got in between all of us as he faced Saito and Sakiko. "I expected better from the holy hero and the storm hero..." Inei grumbled as Saito and Sakiko looked down and walked away.
He then turned to me and Cat as he shook his head softly. "I expected a more formal behavior from you Princess Catharine.... As for you Solrus... I expect less reckless behavior from you. I need you to control your anger and temper those will be your down falls someday." Cat look down to the ground as her tail stayed low as I nodded softly. We both walked back to our table and continued to eat in silence for awhile.
