- I'll see you tomorrow at school. - I said to Rayan goodbye as Kevin and the doberman's cars were already parked on the side of the road just off the bridge next to the waterfall.
- Go, I'll still find somewhere to smoke. - He answered a little grumpily.
- Go home now, you're tired.
- You too. - He replied with a slight smile on his lips at the memory of our sexual games in the car. - Knowing life, I'll be in my house faster than you anyway.
We decided to say goodbye in the car for two reasons. One was that I wanted to hug Rayan one last time. The other, a very practical reason - it was raining. It was raining and raining and the weather was really awful.
The boy raised his hand in farewell and began to comb my hair on my head. He smiled faintly and then threw a reproachful glance in the direction of Kevin's car. It was obvious that he did not like our plan of action at all. However, the reality was that the plan did not suit anyone. Nevertheless, I said goodbye to Rayan and then got into Kevin's car. As soon as we got inside I immediately noticed that the young man's hands that were already resting on the steering wheel were trembling. To be honest, I was afraid of the family's reaction myself. As Wolf started the car engine and began to drive, I felt a tightening in my throat. My palms began to sweat and my knees began to shake slightly. The closer we got to home, the more I wanted to be as far away from it as possible.
- I don't have good news for us Max. - This is Kevin.
- What had happened again? - I asked myself full of fear and fatigue. Not just physical fatigue but mental fatigue as well.
- I was talking to Andy. - Replied Kevin gravely.
- I beg you, just don't say he did something again. - I choked out the words, which were saturated with contempt for the white wolf.
- This journalist who was at the wedding wants to write an article about gay life in our state based on Andy's history.
- I assume he won't leave out the details of how he was hurt so badly?
- No different.
Frankly, it didn't surprise me at all. Andy in the public eye was flawless, pure and good. A homosexual orphan, who achieves great results in his studies, develops his passions, helps children in an orphanage and on top of that has a broken heart, is a perfect character to report on. I'm not sure why I even deluded myself that Andy would disappear from my life once and for all. Everything seemed to indicate that he would now be poisoning my life from afar. He will be like a sniper who intends to shoot his victims from hiding in a safe place. In this case, the victims on the altar of Andy's grief were going to be me and Kevin.
- It just makes me wonder why he even told me about it. - Said the wolf, carefully driving the car through the downpour.
- I think it's pretty obvious. - I said it because I knew what Andy had in mind for Kevin.
- What do you mean?
- It seems to me that suffering can be dealt with most quickly in two ways. First comes sadness, which can be transformed over time into indifference or hatred. Both paths lead to eventual acceptance. Hate is the easier and quicker path. Either way, he still loves you. Until he accepts what has happened or something changes, he will deal with this suffering in the way that works best for him.
- Nothing's going to change. - Kevin snapped back. - Not after what he'd done.
- And how do you feel about that? I know you two had a strong friendship...
