Y/n pov

"Surprise, Happy birthday y/n" everyone calls out as i enter the dining hall, which is very large by the way. If i hadn't heard them when i was walking here i would have gotten more scared.

"Good morning to you all too and thanks" i say, walking down to get in an embrace of Steve, then Rhodey, Sam and Clint. Even Vision gives me a hug and say a short bye before leaving, he's off to some mission or something somewhere.

"Great, now we can eat" Clint says as he let's go of me and i smile. I meet Wanda's gaze and pull some hair out of my face, showing her i'm wearing the bracelet. I feel that something is missing but i don't know what, or rather who. Why isn't Pepper here? She should have been here by now. It's eight am and she should have left DC a few hours ago, it takes about one hour.

"Where's Pepper?" i ask as i sit down next to Wanda. Our hands are touching between us on the table.

"Oh, she's running late. Something about the weather" Tony answers sitting down himself. What weather? Ariel told me about the weather and she said nothing about bad weather in all of eastern US. Washington is also in the same timezone so it's not that either. Some things are not adding up.

"Nevermind that, let's talk about what we're doing today" Nat says, trying to get Tony out of the 'concerned' area to 'the lets party' area.

"First i'll say thanks to Tones who installed Ariel in my room, even if she's more of a babysitter" i say, starting to sip on my glass of juice.

"Personal assistant that has you as a first priority" Tony corrects me, making me roll my eyes at him.

"Yeah i heard Wanda had her first encounter with her, she used to be just a watch and on the boat" Clint says with a laugh and we all smile. Mentioning the boat makes Tony look with an angry look my way but i choose to ignore it.

"A warning would have been nice, i thought there was someone in there" Wanda says in a try to be serious but cracks a smile.

"About plans, i already have plans but you can plan the evening..." Before I can finish Tony cuts in.

"As long as you don't leave the compound" he can't be serious.

"You know i'm not sixteen anymore Tony, i can leave if i want to"

"Not without company"

"Then i'll take Nat with me if you insist so much" i want to take Wanda but i don't know how that would go. No, no i do know how that would go. Not good, when i've just convinced her not to want to kill herself to help me get close. And i can't exactly ask her for help to get close to death.

"I'm sure y/n can take care of herself Tony" Steve says and he is right, but that's not why he doesn't want me to be alone.

"I know that, but apparently she can't be trusted anymore" Tony answers like i'm not in the room anymore. Wanda looks questiongly at me but I just stare Tony down.

"Why can't she be trusted?" Steve continues to ask.

"Tony, this is not the time or place" Nat says and i'm glad she's on my side in this.

"Shall i tell them or do you want to yourself?"

"That's enough Tony" Nat continues before i can talk myself.

"What is he talking about?" Wanda asks in a lower voice, but it's so quiet everyone can hear her.

"Didn't you know? y/n got high and tried to drown herself last night" Tony says and i can't believe how he's acting like a child about this. Everyone just looks at me.

"You did what?" Pepper asks as she's finally through the door.

"Is that true?" Wanda asks as she let's go of my hand under the table.

"No, that's not what happened, i wasn't high and i didn't try to drown myself" i say as i stand up again.

"Then what were you doing?" Pepper asks, standing in the way for me to walk out.

"You really wanna know? I'm trying to figure out who's trying to kill me, okay, and to do that I need to remember how my parents died. By the way they were murdered" i ramble on, looking back at the people at the table.

"Then why drown yourself?" i don't know who asked it as i'm to focus to not lash out on everyone in the room.

"Loki told me about..."

"Of course he has something to do with it" Tony ships in, cutting me off.

"I'm not having this conversation with you, especially not on my birthday"

Wanda pov

Everyone is silent as you make your way out the dining room. I'm not entirely sure of what just happened here but i have a feeling it's bad.

"Tony? Did you know that someone is trying to kill her?" Pepper asks and i must say she came at the last second. If not you would have just left.

"Some people in Portland has been trying to kill her since the accident" he explains but according to you it wasn't an accident. He then turns to Nat and say "Nat, go with her and make sure she doens't do anything stupid"

"It wasn't an accident" i mumble but i think they heard me.

"What?" Steve asks as he think he didn't hear me right.

"She said they were murdered, don't you believe her?" i explain with confidence I really don't have.

"Of course you would say that" Tony snaps back. Rhodey, Sam and Clint are just sitting there, silent to the family fight.

"What's that supposed to mean?" i snap back at him.

"Oh like it's such a secret about the two of you. I mean, we all know what you were doing in Asgard" why is he acting like such a dick all of a sudden. I stand up, prepared to leave but then turn back to say.

"Okay, i don't know what you think happened and i don't care. What i do care about is y/n, and i'm not her sister but your her brother. Maybe you should be the one to always be on her side" with that i make my exit to walk to your room where i guess you are.
