Madhav stepped in the restaurant looking around. His eyes zoned on the man sitting near a window, scrolling through his phone. Madhav went near him and tapped on the table. Veer looked up annoyed.

"Finally, you got some time for the poor soul." Veer complained.

"Stop cribbing. I am just half an hour late. And I could see, you had pretty time scrolling through your phone." Madhav reprimanded, taking a seat opposite to him.

Veer smiled.
"What held you back?"

"I had to pick up a friend from the airport." Madhav replied casually, looking through the options of drinks.

"Which friend is this that I am not aware of?" Veer asked looking around for a waiter.

"Oh. You don't know her." Madhav replied distracted.

HER??

Veer's eyes glowed up. He could see watches circling around his head.

"Does Anjali know 'HER'? " Veer asked with mischief in his voice.

Madhav's jaw dropped as he realized what Veer was complying.

Veer would grab the opportunity to get a new watch from Madhav to keep his mouth shut in front of Anjali.

Madhav lightly hit Veer on his arm.

"There's nothing like that. And Anjali doesn't know her. She came to Mumbai today. She is family friend and was away to Bangalore to get her degree." Madhav explained. Veer nodded in understanding.

"Why don't you come over for dinner tomorrow? You will meet her. We have a small get together." asked Madhav.

"No thanks. I would rather stay at my place." Veer refused.

"Why do you run away from girls?"

Veer looked at him surprised.

"That's because, I want a permanent relationship and not a casual fling. I can't go through a heartbreak. I would marry a suitable partner and would never let her go." Veer explained.

"But then you are not even meeting the girls that you Mom brings for you. How would you know if someone is suitable for you?"

"I don't know. Just no one clicks." he replied.

Madhav shook his head in annoyance.

It was after a few days, when Veer was working on a report, Kabir knocked on his cabin and requested him to collect Ishaan and Inder from Chitra Residence. When Veer called Sunaina in the evening, to inform her about his arrival to pick up the kids, Ishaan demanded chocolate mint cookies.

Veer looked at the array of pastries and wondered how skillfully crafted those delicate pieces of cakes were. He was waiting for the fresh batch of cookies to come out from the oven. He waited patiently for sometime when his phone gave out a familiar ringtone. It was impatient Ishaan calling from Sunaina's phone to ask for his cookies. Shaking his head in amusement, he walked out of the bakery to talk to the kid. He was trying to distract him to buy some time and suddenly something caught his eye.

A white Audi stopped near his car and two very beautiful feet stepped out. The slender creamy legs were clasped in ankle strap stilettos. But what caught his attention was a pair of intricately crafted anklets, flashing on the feet. It was a very rare combination - stilettos and anklets.

Distracted, he looked at the girl raising his eyes and he blinked in surprise. The girl looked around in confidence as if she ruled the world. The soft white coloured anarkali Kurta that she was wearing was complimented with baby pink salwar that was tightly hugging the slender legs. The stole that was pinned on her left shoulder was flowing freely with the gentle breeze. He was fortunate enough to get the glance of the beautiful face. The straight nose and full lips that formed the cupid's bow were prominent features. But what stood out was the arch shaped dark eyebrows and the large almond shaped light brown eyes, lighter than honey.

He was mesmerized by the beauty and forgot to answer the screaming Ishaan on the other side. Ignoring Ishaan completely, he focused on the beauty, as he was contemplating to follow her. He thought for moment that it was creepy, but his heart told him that he wanted someone like her to look at every morning. He was following her with his eyes and that was the moment he felt a small tap on his shoulder. He looked back to find the staff of the bakery who handed him the packet of cookies he had paid and was waiting for. Saying a small thanks, he turned his attention back to his point of interest.

But to his disappointment, the beauty was gone.

He looked around, at every possible corner, his eyes could take him. But then he noticed, the car was gone too.

His heart was filled with disappointment.

She came like a fresh breath of air and vanished like a scent of perfume, leaving her beautiful sight in his memory.

Sighing deeply, he went back to his car and drove in direction of Chitra Residence. His eyes were searching the familiar car everywhere on the road until he reached Chitra Residence.

Sunaina was chatting away with him as Ishaan showed him the drawing he made, while he ate the cookies with a glass of warm milk given by Sunaina. All Sunaina could notice was, he was lost in thoughts. He was not attentive to the duo of Inder and Abhimanyu. He ignored them as they tried to play with laptop, which he usually was very protective of.

That night, Veer could not bring himself to sleep. A beautiful face danced in front of his eyes as the honey colored eyes blinked at him.
He wanted one more glance. He wanted to ask her name. He wanted to ask her parents, if they would marry her off to him. Few hours ago, during dinner, when his mother had told him about a new proposal, he had straight away asked to see the photograph of the girl. Everyone on the table was startled. His mother went to his room, with the photograph, which he rejected after one glance. His mother was not only disappointed but annoyed too at his refusal to meet the girl.

How could he explain his mother, that he was already smitten by a nameless beauty?
How would he explain his turmoil, that he lost his heart in the deep sea of honey?
How could he explain that his sanity and sensibility was crushed under the beautiful, slender and creamy ankle laden stilettoed feet?

How could he explain his mother, that he was already smitten by a nameless beauty? How would he explain his turmoil, that he lost his heart in the deep sea of honey? How could he explain that his sanity and sensibility was crushed under the beautif...
