ch 3: vodka and guns

it was half past 8 in the evening zack was down in the basement observing the recent movements of the gang and guessing what they might be upto next, while Johnny lazily sat in front of the TV. a knock came onto the door. Johnny got up to receive whoever had come. it was Paulo "hey polo what's up man" Johnny exclaimed "IT'S Paulo" Paulo added "yeah exactly polo now tell me what brings thy here o righteous human whose name thy tell Paulo but i think of it better as polo" Paulo chuckled then shook his head in submission "polo or Paulo or even righteous human would do. anyway i came to thou in peace o great being.... ahh i don't know what might come next i just came here to invite you and Zack over to CADETHUT the coolest pub in town you guys came just in time its closing today so they are throwing a huge party its gonna be grand you guys have to come even boss asked me to take you guys out there so that u guys will freshen up and be ready for the job from tomorrow" "wweell i don't know" Johnny said lazily. Paulo smirked "meg said she'll be going too..." and before he could complete his sentence "count me in i don't care if Zack's goin or not, i am soo coming" Johnny shot out. "no your not" Zack's clear cut voice came from behind Johnny whined "ohh plz plz plz Zack come on it's gonna be fun" Paulo joined in "yeah man it's gonna be the coolest thing you have ever seen gurls, booze, music, dance and my maria" he said cheekily. Zack rolled his eyes at the word girls. Johnny instantly hit upon an idea "oh so now i get it your just scared isnt it. You don't want to go to a place full of girl!!!" "i am not scared" Zack replied with a frown. "are you?" Johnny smirked. Zack glared at him "fine we'll come..." "yes" Johnny hissed throwing his fist up, Paulo smiled then suddenly Zack remarked "i still didn't complete my sentence. i said we'll come but only on one condition: no drinking!!!" Johnny groaned Zack smiled "i don't want to get all high the very first day we arrived and then land in some sort of a scandal ok, now if you guys are ready to accept this one condition then i am your man" Johnny and Paulo looked at each other solemnly then frowned and chorused together "deal!!!" and in another 15 mins they were riding downtown in Paulo's sexy red Ferrari...

CADETHUT just as Paulo had told them was brimming with people, even they would have been standing in a long line if the bouncer would never have had recognized Paulo. now standing inside the lively (way too lively) pub Zack flinched, cursing himself for saying yes, but Johnny wasn't actually into the screeching music and the grinding bodies on the floor neither did he notice the stench of liquor wafting around him his eyes scanned the whole pub for that one face which he had soo wanted to see, meg even though he'd flirted with many a girls she was by far the sexiest. suddenly he spotted her by the drinks bar chatting and giggling with a few friends. time to make a move he instructed his mind then went upto her and said hi giving her a wink, meg was quiet surprised to see her attractive boss appear awkwardly from basically nowhere but in mins both of them were chatting away smoothly. "why!!! half of the office is present over here" exclaimed Zack to Paulo who was watching maria jealously as she danced happily with a few junior officers "oh i told you right it's their last day so everyone wanted to be here on this occasion afterall its quiet a prominent place. anyway if u could just excuse me i have got to detach a few leeches off my maria" Paulo said before getting up and moving towards maria ""go get em tiger!!!" Zack yelled from behind. paulo got there in no time then exprtly shooing away the other guys pulled maria close to him and started dancing.
      zack just looked on and smiled. he had been getting quite some attention from the girls but he'd been ignoring everyone. but that one girl who just brushed past him then looking up at him had said sorry in a very innocent way had really caught his attention. she was in a short figure hugging backless black dress. but that wasn't the reason why he had noticed her, it was something about those blue eyes that had so innocently looked upto his. he remembered where he had heard of a pair of eyes like hers but this girl had choclate brown hairs so it couldn't actually be her, could it? then it was the way she'd just behaved unlike other girls who were dying to come near him she had just smiled politely said sorry then left this was definitely the first time in his life that a girl bumped into him and never once turned back. his eyes followed her every move as she danced on the floor. there was a guy with her a guy who looked at her with eyes full of lust. maybe he was her boyfriend, zack couldn't care less, but the next instance the guys hands were trailing down her bare back and doing things they shouldn't be doing in public. the girl looked up at him eyes full of surprise then pushed him off herself, he was taken aback but didn't give up just yet he shot his hands back and tried to wrap them around her. she struggled to get them off, Zack sprinted towards them to help the girl not just cause he'd quiet much like her but also he thought it was his duty to help. "if you don't know how and where to use your hands you had better chopped them punk!!!" he said calmly while tearing him away from her "dammit and who are you to tell me how i should be using my hands" zacks eyes narrowed he'd never actually like being questioned about his identity "well you actually don't need to know about my identity and risk having your whole existence in danger, do you?" he questioned moving towards the guy menacingly his voice had the right hint of anger and danger that the guy instantly regretted then quickly backed off leaving zack alone with the girl. zack turned around to face her she was massaging her left hand which was visibly hurt "umm...are you ok" he asked apprehensively she nodded then said sarcastically "i could have protected myself i don't need any bodies help" ...ouch! "i just thought you might need help i m sorry if i interferd in ur personal buisness" zack replied. the girl sighed "i became over reactive and bitchy didn't i. sorry i didn't mean to say what i did i am indeed quiet grateful that u saved me from that asshole. it's just that i am disgusted at how easily i let him do that with me" she said blowing out a strand of hair away from her face placing her hands on her hips. he grinned "you were atleast brave enough to fight back most girls would have been scared stiff" she smiled "I'd seriously!!!" she squealed excitedly. she wasn't that bad, he nodded "anyways who was he, your boy friend?" zack asked curiously "oh no no just some random guy who asked to dance" zack marvelled at her boldness then sniggered "well too bad cause i was thinking to ask you to a little dance myself, but i promise no fishy business" she smirked "and if you do" he replied cooly "then get me arrested". she threw her head back chuckling "lets just hope the occasion doesn't arrive and i don't really have to!!!" she exclaimed dragging him to the floor. he followed quietly behind her. then right in the middle of the dance floor they started dancing away merrily.
      jhonny who had been observing his brother smiled it felt nice to know that his brother had made move on a girl, at last his mom would be soo happy. after a few mins zack realised he didn't even know her name "soo whats your name?" he asked. she opened her mouth to say something but a gunshot interrupted her in the middle. they ducked out of simple conciousness people yelled and screamed as they tried to escape, more gunshots were heard. a few hooligans entered the pub quiet well armed. jhonny had his hands full meg had got shot on her left hand and had fallen unconcious due to fright he had to leave the pub carrying her just hoping zack was alright. zack on the other hand had taken shelter behind the drinks counter with the girl. all his other colleauges were busy retaliating to the firing. it seemed as if he was the only one unarmed. looking around he noticed all the ruffians had an tattoe of a red eye on their arms. he guessed quite easily who they were he yelled out to paulo who had taken a sofa as a shield just across the room "couldn't you have just warned me to bring my gun along?!!!" paulo fired a bullet then shot zack a cheeky grin then throwing another gun towards him yelled back "how was i supposed to know they were going to pay a visit!!!" zack caught the gun midway in air then turned around to look at the girl she was staring at his gun but zack couldn't tell if she was shocked and scared or just plain surprised and curious. "whats goin on" she asked doubtfully zack returned a bullet shot at him and replied "don't worry i am a DEA officer and they are just another bunch of smugglers. its alright i promise I'll get you out of here ALIVE!!!" she whispered "are you sure they are 'JUST' another bunch of smugglers cause they sure do look dangerous!!!" this time again he couldn't understand her tone whether she was saying this mischeviously or she was actually frightened. a bullet stuck a vodka bottle kept on the counter making it shatter into pieces the girl shrieked and zack didn't need any further proof that she was scared. paulo glanced towards them then said solemnly "zack  you have got a civilian over there. get her out right now we cant play with any civilians life like that we'll cover up for you." zack nodded "i know a way around here!!!" the girl exclaimed then taking his hand dragged him to a door towards the back not caring about the flying bullets. she flung the door open and they were hurled outside into a lonely street it was probably the garbage area. they quickly squeazed into a narrow alley as they heard the door open again behind them. an armed person came out into the street and looked anxiously around zack got ready to shoot if he gets too close sudenly the man calls out "zack... where are you, its me!!!" zack sigh's a sigh of relief and turns around to face the girl who had been standing bhnd him all the while "its ok it's just pau..." but to his utter shock there is no one there. the girl disappears, "hey what happened you ok?" asks Paulo who'd heard Zack's voice. Zack scratched the back of his neck "yeah it's just that the girl... she was right here and now she's not" he said moving his hands dejectedly. paulo smiled "it's ok she must have escaped frightened due to all this" zack nodded agreeingly. whatever it had been she was the first girl he'd been interested in. he had soo wanted to know more about her... but unfortunately he didn't even know her name!!! paulo as if reading his mind chuckled "cheer up buddy we'll find her for you but right now we have got to go the mobsters have left and we have to go its getting late" zack nodded again sorrowfully... he might never meet her again.

not far away the same girl walked down the street warily and then in sec's she was being circled by a jeep in which all the hooligans from the pub were seated, they started to hoot and whistle at her. she just stares at them hands crossed over her chest,  grinning. the jeep came to a halt then a guy who looked like in his late 20s got down then pulling at her cheeks said "aww did my lil girl have fun!!!" the girl smacked his hands away "stop it Brady your behaving as if your my dad" she exclaimed moving her hands in her hair removing the chocolate brown wig. it revealed her smooth raven hairs. "no seriously, tell me lia did you have fun!!" brady asked again "well i think she did looking at the way she was dancing with that new dog!!!" came a jealous voice from behind the same guy who had misbehaved with her appears smiling evilly "didn't you lia it even looked like he butlered you out thinking you were just a normal girl stuck in this unfortunate event" lia grinned "jealous much teague but you should be thankful he came in the right time or else i would have knocked a few of your teeths out. You should never have put your dirty hands on me" brady who considered himself as a bigger brother to lia who was the second youngest amongst them turned towards teague with a cloudy face "you did what you little bastardly piece of..." he started cursing but before he could end what he intended to say lia spoke "now don't tell me he didn't tell, why i thought he was the one who had brought you all here!!!" teag dropped in "nah, i didn't do that infact i found them on my way out and decided to join them, give you a little surprise" lia's mouth did indeed drop in surprise "what the hell!!! You mean this was planned and i was the only one who didn't know!!" Brady smiled cheekily "well we thought you were going somewhere and we didn't want to ruin your plans with our ones of crashing the officers party how were we supposed to know you would be there that too with this idiot" he said pointing towards teag, lia whined "i wasn't there with him he was the one who followed me and the next time you guys have a plan to go shooting somewhere warn me well in advance. i nearly died today!!!" Brady put his hands around her then said "you really think i could let my lil girl die. and as for him Ben will see what is to be done with him tomrrow" in a very furious tone teag just stared at him with a hint of horror. brady turned and looked at lia who was staring at the way she had come from he brushed her hairs with his hands "come on flower its already 11:00 now and you know you cant get up early in the morning without proper sleep hope you arent thinking about that new officer you were with are you?" he questioned she replied yawning wide "no why would i think about him it's just that i am tired brady lets go back home" she said and instantly got ushered into the jeep. she turned around just wishing from somewhere this guy would turn up. she had taken quiet a liking for 'zack' that was what his friend had called him. "zack..." she whispered thinking how it would go with the name lia the very thought made her blush hard... very hard she stopped blushing then shook her head 'no way' not for a police officer!!!.

(hey guys lovely people out there reading this. i know this is surprising a real early upload u might b wondering if the land blew up or the sky fell or the earth is going to be destroyed on monday but no actually i have got exams up around the corner and i shant be able to upload for about 20 days now or even more hope ur not angry i dont want people to come up and bash me sorry but no can do . i'll miss u all -XluvprincessX-)
