Y/n Stark and The Black Widow

The Mission

-Y/n's POV-

After breakfast I gear up and join everyone in the quinjet and within minutes we're off. Steve is going over the mission with us all.

"Okay everyone, listen up! This should be a quick and simple mission. We go in, sweep the building for hydra agents, get the file filled with hydra plans and go. No one needs to get hurt" Steve has a very direct way of speaking, I can see why he is in charge of the missions.

"Tony will keep an eye above, I'll search the top floor, Y/n and Romanoff will take the ground floor and everyone else will keep watch outside, understood?" We all nod.

"Good, then let's go" he nods back.

Once we land, we all exit the quinjet and make our way to the build. My dad is flying above us in his suit.

"Be careful Y/n, Romanoff, don't let anything happen to her" I swear he still thinks I'm a kid who can't look after myself.

"Wouldn't dream of it Tony" Nat glances at me with a smirk.

"I'll be fine dad" I respond with a slight annoyed tone.

Nat and I arrive at the building entrance and make our way to the ground level.

"So far so good" I say to Nat as we reach the ground floor when Steve's voice rings through the comms.

"Y/n, Nat, the file should be in a room near you somewhere"

I saw a door leading into a room, that's got to be the one he's talking about. I turn to Nat.

"I think I know where" I nod my head in the direction of the door.

Nat looks at door and then back at me.

"You go ahead, I'll stand guard" She stops just outside the door, turns to me and grabs hold of my shoulders "call me immediately if you run into trouble"

"You got it BW" I smile slightly at her.

"BW?" She gives me a confused look.

"Short for Black widow....I'll just go in the room" nice going y/n, should of just nodded.

I enter the room and scan it for the file.

"File, file, where art thou file?" I start to walk around looking for it when I come across a file on a desk, this has got to be it, it's the only one here.

"Aha! There you are" I pick it up and begin speaking into the comms.

"Guys! I got-" a fist connects with my jaw, I fall to the ground placing my hand onto the side of my jaw. When I look up I see man standing over me.

"I'm afraid I can't let you take that or let you leave" he speaks with a German accent, must be a hydra accent. Great. Well, time to have some fun.

"Well that was rude" I start to stand up, slowly looking for something to use as a weapon. "You shouldn't just hit people out of nowhere" I spot a piece of metal and slowly reach out to grab it, making sure he doesn't see me grabbing it.

He begins talking again "hand me the file and we can be done he-" I quickly hit him over the head with the metal, knocking him out.

I crouch down to him, he can't hear me but someones gotta tell him "see how rude that is, didn't even get to finish your sentence".

I stand back up and pick up the file. Nat runs into the room.

"Y/n! Are you okay?" she checks me over to make sure I'm not hurt, running her thumb over my jaw, where a light bruise is starting to form.

"Just peachy" I speak in a sarcastic tone, I just got punched in the jaw, obviously I wasn't just peachy. She removes her hand from my face. I start rubbing my jaw as I begin to walk out of the room.

Nat follows me "I told you to call me the second you ran into trouble!"

"I'm fine, nothing I couldn't handle, we got what we came for, so let's go". Here's something you should know about me, when I get injured, I just brush it off, regardless of how bad it is, act like I'm fine. I mean besides, I'm an avenger now, I'm going to get hurt, no need to act like it's the end of the world.

I exit the building to go meet the others, Nat follows behind me, clearly not impressed with my response.

"I got the file!" I say through the comms.

"Run into any trouble" I hear my dad's voice ask.

"Nothing I couldn't handle" I respond, he doesn't need to know I got punch.

"Alright, everyone back to the quinjet" Steve's voice rings through.

-Nat's POV-

Tony told me to keep her out of harms way, he wasn't going to be impressed that she got punched. Based on her response, she was going to try and hide the fact that she got punched from Tony, but that wasn't going to be easy as I saw a bruise already starting to form, only lightly, not very visible but it would only become more noticeable.
