"Y/n, honey can you come here, we need to have a discussion." Y/no's mom spoke from downstairs.
"Sure." As the girl stood up from where she lay, half asleep on her bed, making her way down the stairs, her feet sliding across the marble steps as she wrapped her arm around the railing, leaning on it as her mother approached her.
"Honey, I hope you don't mind but I've invited the Cameron's over for dinner so can you get ready?" She tucked a lose strand of hair behind the girl's ear.
"Tonight?" The girl questioned a shocked look slowly creeping onto her face.
"Yes, why that's okay right?" Y/no's mother crossed her arms over her chest, "your father and Ward are in some business at the moment and he would really appreciate if you were there y/n."
The girl nodded before dashing upstairs to get ready.

Carefully, she tucked the final strand of her curly hair behind her ear, straightening her red, silky dress.
"Woah, you look great." A voice spoke from behind the girls bedroom door.
"Sarah?" She questioned.
"Hey y/n, I've missed you." She spoke, wasting no time in wrapping her arms around the girls shoulders.
"You look great too." Y/n said looking at Sarah's blue skirt and white tank top.
"Thanks, anyways I think I heard your mom say foods ready." Sarah grabbed the girls hand before making there way downstairs.
"There she is." Y/n's dad said planting a kiss on her forehead. "You look gorgeous sweetheart."
Despite having multiple compliments directed at her, she couldn't help but feel as though someone was staring into her soul.
Quickly turning around there he was, Rafe Cameron, his tall, muscular figure, staring directly at her, his coral Ralph Loren shirt hung loosely from his torso as did his khaki shorts as y/n admired him staring at her she noticed him unclench his fists.
"Weird." She thought to herself before taking a seat at the dining table.
The dinner went smoothly, Sarah on her left, the two gossiping about the pogues and Sarah's new boyfriend, John B, and wheezie on her right, often making funny comments and jokes, and opposite the curly haired girl, was Rafe.
"So he actually stole the boat?-" y/n was cut off by a familar voice.
"May you pass the water?" Rafe asked to his youngest sister.
"Yeah, here." She said passing him a jug which within seconds somehow had ended up on y/n's lap.
"Seriously Rafe your such an idi-" Sarah began wiping her best- friends dress.
"Hey, hey it's okay, I'm sure he did it mean to." Y/n placed a hand on Sarah shoulder, "excuse me everyone." She left the table heading towards her bedroom.
As y/n sorted through her wardrobe, looking for a new dress to wear for the evening there was a knock on the door.
"Sarah, I'll be down in a second." The girl spoke, still sorting through, until a pair of hands wrapped around her waist, "Sarah?"
"Not Sarah, Rafe." The boy spoke his hands raising to the curly - haired girl's lips as she spun around to face him, mumbled noises fell from her mouth as he slowly removed his hand.
"What are you doing?" She asked a stern look on her face.
"I've liked you ever since the second I first saw you, from the day you helped me look after Sarah because she was to drunk to face our dad, from the day that you called me when you were stranded because you didn't want to get in trouble, from the day that you cried in my arms because tipper broke up with you, I love you y/n I always have and I always will."
He gently grabbed the girls soft face, drawing it in close to his and placing a small gentle kiss on her lips.
"Y/n will you do me the honour of being my girlfriend?" The tanned boy asked a small grin spread from cheek to cheek.
"Yes, YES YES." Y/n shrieked, her arms wrapping around rages shoulders as she pulled him into a hug.
"I love you."
"I love you too."
