Simon pushed past the room full of sweating bodies, trying to sneak through the back door.

He sat down on the outdoor sofa, breathing in the crisp fresh air, happy to get a break from the smell of alcohol that thickly lined the walls of his house.

"Si-Simon,you ok" Talia spoke, appearing from out the door.

He simply just nodded, sending her a cheesy grin.

She planted herself down on the sofa next to him, placing her hand on his thigh, subconsciously rubbing it.

"I couldn't find you in there" Talia stated, looking up to him.

Her cheeks blushed a light shade of pink, hidden by the dark of the night.

"Oh, yeah sorry about that" he spoke, awkwardly rubbing the back of his neck with his sweaty palm.

"It's fine, it gives me a chance to give you your present." She grinned, handing simon a small wrapped box.

"Tee, I said no gifts." He jokingly pouted before the pair laughed at his silliness.

"Well tough luck pretty boy" she cringed at the nickname she gave him, but just put on a smile.

He ripped the layers of colourful paper off, before being left with a grey box.

Lifting the lid back,he was greeted with a shiny gold ring, the day they met engraved on the inside.

His smile grew, smiling from ear to ear.

He placed it down before pulling her into a tight hug, staring awkwardly into each others eyes.

Then he did it, he kissed her, placing two fingers under her chin, he lifted its he planted a kiss on her lips.

It only lasted a fre seconds before the grining pair pulled away. The thick layer of awkwardness surrounding them.

They simply both walked inside,Simon now with the ring on his finger, catching the light reflecting off the shiny gold.
