Chapter one:
I want him all.

TW: ableism?

The first time I saw him, it was at the diner.
He ordered a smoothie with some kind of peach salad and sat there and ate it in silence.

My coworker and I gawked over him and we constantly came around to check up on him, watching to see if whoever he came to meet would show up.

But alas, he stood up and wrapped his jacket around his arm. Took his plates to their area and then walked out.

I thought that was the last time I'd ever see the beautiful man, but the very next week on the same day he came back, sat at the same table and ordered the same meal.

He left the same 20 dollar tip.

The very next week he came, I made the effort to talk to him. I got all dressed up in hopes he'd come in. I'd unbuttoned the top of my dark green waitress uniform to reveal my bralette underneath before I'd walked to his table.

"Welcome to O'Hera, what can I get for you?" I asked but the man didn't look at me before he answered.
"I will have tomato soup and grilled cheese." He doesn't lift up his head once as he orders.

I turned and rolled my eyes. I was about to say something about how disrespectful it was that he wouldn't even bother to look at me when his head raised and I could see his eyes.

My heart skipped a beat at the tired honey brown eyes staring at me back.
I couldn't take my eyes away from his own endless ones.

"Is that available?" He asked and I rack my brain to try to remember what he'd asked for.
"I'm sorry?"
"The tomato soup and grilled cheese?" He drops his gaze and it returns to the menu.

"Yes- yes it is- uh is there anything else?" I watched as his hand lifted to his hair to move a long loose strand out of his face.
"A bottled water."

"Ok."

I had to know everything about him then.
I took my 30 minute break when he left and I followed him back to his college building.

His name is Vincenzo Lockewood and he's my soul mate.
I had to get close to him

The first thing I had to do was keep myself on track, to hold myself back from just following him everywhere, I tried to keep my head down and follow all the rules my counselors set. Once I found out that he had a sister my age I had to force myself to actually be conscious in school.
Thankfully the mission to make myself friends with his sister was incredibly easy.

His sister, Vienna Lockewood, had a crush on this boy, Daniel, and all I had to do to get to her was make myself show up around him more. Thankfully Daniel was like any other teenage boy in the world and fawned over any kind of attention he could get. She came running to me after that.
Maybe trying to secure some kind of ally ship with me so I would feel too guilty if I wanted to jump Daniel's bones.

"Hi I'm Vienna." She said placing her tan Hand into my own. Her nails are clipped short and painted only with a clear pink gloss, while mine are long, dark green and claw shaped. I know her family is Conservative christian already because I'd been around many times as Vincenzo had to cancel many of his Saturday and Sunday classes in order to go to church.

"Sara."
"You're so gorgeous, it's ridiculous." Vienna said and I smiled wide, "please, look at you." I said just as enthusiastically gesturing to her body in her tight cheerleading uniform.
"I'm obsessed with your makeup." She said and I grinned.
"You like makeup?, I've seen you around obviously cause you're hot as fuck but you never wear any."
"I'm not allowed, my parents say that it's against god's will to cover up his creation and all of that."
