I can't believe he asked me to be his girlfriend after we don't even know each other for a day.
"I-I don't know." I say. "Like, I think I like you, but, I'm not sure. Can you give me some time to think?"
"Uh, sure." He says. "I think I should go. Bye."
He walks out of the room. I hear the front door close.
I just sit there for a while just watching tv. At around 5 pm someone comes in.
"Is anyone home?!" My dad shouts shouts.
"Hi dad!" I shout. "I'm in the living room!"
"Hey sweetie." My dad says as he walks
over to me. "Did you make a few friends?"
"Yeah, a few." I say. "One lives right next door. His name is Ashton. He's in a band, 5 Seconds of Summer."
"He sounds great." My dad says, smiling. I give him a small smile. "I'm going to help your mom make some dinner. We're eating mince pie."
"Okay," I reply. "I'll go unpack the last things."
After about half an hour my mom calls.
"Dinner's ready!" She shouts to no one in particular actually, because everyone's home. I walk down stairs into the kitchen and sit at the table. Casey and James walk in after me. Casey sits next to me.
"So," He says, "made any friends yet?" Before I can answer, James interrupts.
"Probably not," He says. "Look at her, she's a nerd."
"James!" Dad scolds him. He just rolls his green eyes. I start talking to Casey again.
"Actually, yeah, I have," I say. "They go to the school we're going to. One lives next door too."
"Sounds cool," He says.
After dinner I go to my room. I FaceTime with Noa. I told he everything about what happened with Luke. After about an hour I decide to get a good nights sleep for the first day of school.
