72 Hours Later with Matt as he comes out of the washroom:
Matt's POV: As I walk back to bed, I groan because my nurse for the day is literally already right on me the minute I walk out of the bathroom door. "I promise Natalie, I am going right back to bed...you have to remember that I also have to answer to my wife." Natalie then nodded. "Yes." That's when I heard Kelly come up to our room with some breakfast. "Good, you are awake." I then smiled when I saw my favorite breakfast. "Let me guess, my mom made breakfast?" Kelly nodded when I asked him that. "Yes, I know you do not like my cooking." Gabby then sighed.

"It's not that we don't like your cooking Severide...it's that you shouldn't cook. You do not cook very well." I nodded and agreed with Gabby when she said that. "Sorry man, but I have to agree with my wife. Both because I am literally stuck with her for the next couple months...but also because I love her." Gabby smiled as she turned to look at me. Wrapping my arm around her, I went to kiss her softly. "Thanks for agreeing to postpone the vow renewal a week. I think that might at least give us enough time to recover so we can be in better shape to do it."

Gabby agreed with me when I said that before cuddling up to me. That's when I heard Cindy Hermann make her way upstairs with our laundry. "You mean two weeks? I am positive that you guys are not going to be able to walk down the aisle together anytime soon." Gabby smiled when she saw the laundry. "Thanks for doing that for us Cindy. You really didn't have to." Cindy laughed when Gabby said that. "Believe me, I would rather do your laundry compared to my kids' laundry. I am not going to miss doing it for the next 2 weeks. I told them, I want it clean!"

I nodded and agreed with her. "By the way, how are the kids Cindy? Is my baby girl fed and ready to cuddle up to her daddy in bed?" That's when I heard Hermann come upstairs. "Which baby girl do you mean Matt? If you want Hannah, Violet and Eva are both taking care of her. If you want Abby...then I have her." I then smiled at Hermann. "Good, because I want to cuddle up to my bAbby girl." Gabby turned to look at me when I said that. "What?" I then smiled. "Instead of baby girl...bAbby girl." Gabby laughed when I said that. "You need a new nickname!"

That's when I heard my mom come upstairs. "I have some coffees for Mr. and Mrs. Casey." I laughed when she said that. "Oh god, you are being too generous everybody." They all shook their heads when I said that. "Matt, you are bedridden. You are going to be taken care of like kings and queens." I smiled when they said that. "Well that's good...because that is what Gabby is in my eyes, my queen." Natalie smiled when I said that. "God, I swear...you really need to teach Will how to speak to a woman who is sick in bed. I swear, my first experience was not the best."

I agreed with her when she said that. "I promise, I will talk to him. He taking care of Owen right now?" Natalie nodded and smiled. "Him, Owen and Louie are playing outside. Louie wants to go to the beach but..." Gabby then sighed and looked at me before going to grab my hand. "I would rather he only go if he is with Antonio." I nodded when she said that before going to grab the coffee from my mom. Taking a drink, I smiled. "God mom, where in the world did you learn to make coffee like this? This is delicious."

My mom was about to say something when Cruz came upstairs. "Don't you dare Mrs. Casey. That is my family's signature drink. I asked Cindy to start serving it at the bar and people love it." Cindy nodded when he said that. "Oh god, it's been selling like hot cakes. Remind me to call the restaurant and get them to send you your check for the month." Gabby agreed with her when she said that. "Believe me, I will...especially until we get accepted for disability. Speaking of which, can you pass me my laptop? I need to get on it." Natalie then went to grab it.

However, I was not having any of it. "You are not going to give her that laptop. Right now, she is on bedrest. We are not going to think about registering for disability for a few days. Right now, we need to figure out how we are going to do everything from bed. I mean, we still have to be parents to our kids." Natalie nodded when I said that. "You guys need to talk to someone who has experience doing this alone while being on bedrest?" Will then walked up and cleared his throat. "Last time I checked you were not in this alone. But Erin needs you. Lady questions."

Natalie nodded when Will said that. "Right sorry." She then walked up to him and went to put her hands on his chest. Kissing him, she smiled. "I am so glad we are here. Gives you a chance to see how Jay is doing here in person. I think this has been really good for him." I nodded when she said that. "That reminds me. We all need to get together up here sometimes. The doctors and Jay. We need to do a PTSD talk every once and a while." I then went to look at Will. "Just curious, who is watching Louie outside?" Will then laughed. "My brother and Champ."

Gabby nodded and agreed with her when she said that. "If he hurts Louie...I don't care if I am bedridden. He is a dead man." I smiled when Gabby said that before laughing a bit. "I wish that was funny but, she is not joking Natalie." Natalie nodded when I said that. "Oh believe me, I already know that. One more thing, Maggie sends her best." Gabby smiled when she said that. "You know, that is one reason I would definitely go back to Chicago." I was shocked when she said that. "What, you want to move back to Chicago? Gabby! The entire point of moving here..."

Gabby then shook her head. "I said go back to Chicago...I never said move back to Chicago."
