Chapter 699

Meanwhile, downstairs in the basement with Jay & Erin:
Jay's POV: As I sat on the bed with Erin to work on a case with the FBI, I just smiled considering we have been allowed to work from home considering the lockdown and the fact that we have triplets. Looking at Erin as she was searching for information in the FBI database regarding possibly people he could have copied...I just went to put my hand on her arm to make sure she took a breath from time to time. When she works these cases, she always like to work them hard. She doesn't want to leave a stone unturned and she wants to solve them ASAP.

However, I think it might be time for a break considering who just walked into our room. "Babe, I think we need to take a break. Will just walked into our room with Sophia." Erin looked up when I said that and then smiled at Sophia. "She wanted to come down and see her mama didn't she?" Will laughed when she said that. "I think it's actually her dad. She was coming towards me whenever Natalie stopped her from coming downstairs." I agreed with him and smiled at that fact. I always knew that my baby girl was going to be a daddy's girl. This just confirmed it.

Going to grab her from Will, I smiled as I went to lay her down on my chest. "I swear, even though she is getting bigger....there is nothing that I wouldn't do to get some cuddle time with my little Sophia." Kissing her head, I smiled as I went to grab the plate I still had on my side table. Grabbing some more food, I smiled at Erin. "Babe, you should eat more. You are working and that means that you need to eat." Erin nodded when I said that before going to grab her plate of food that she had on her side table. Will then smiled at us both.

"Just curious, what are we going to do tomorrow when we have to take care of Matt and Gabby? Are you still going to work on your FBI cases?" I nodded when he said that. "Uhm, Erin might. I might have to ask Natalie to help you more if I have a lead I have to follow. I am sorry man but, I need to be able to do my job. I hope you understand." Will nodded when I said that. "Of course. You are already under lockdown which complicates things. So if you need to work on your cases while you are also helping take care of Matt and Gabby, I understand. Maybe Natalie can help."

That's when I heard Natalie come downstairs. "What's this about me helping on my non-care day?" I then sighed. "If we have a lead on a case with the FBI...could you take over for me so that I can work the case?" Natalie nodded when I asked her that. "Of course, that makes sense and is fair. You guys need to catch the bad guys. And if you need someone to cover for you, I am sure that people will understand." I nodded and smiled at Will. "You would understand right?" Will then laughed. "Oh definitely. I would also understand if you have a PTSD episode."

I sighed when Will said that. "That reminds me, I am going to make an appointment with a psychiatrist would can give me anxiety meds. I will let you know because either you guys have to babysit if Erin wants to come...or me and you can go together since you are also a doctor. I want to have one down here if I ever need to change my meds." Will nodded when I said that. Meanwhile, Erin turned to look at me and grabbed my hand. "Will is not going to be going with you to those appointments...that's my job. They are going to watch the kids for us."

I nodded when Erin said that because I should've already known that was going to be the case. Taking another bite of the breakfast we have, I smiled because it was delicious. "Dang, who made this breakfast quiche? It's delicious!" Natalie then laughed. "I made it with Helen's recipe." I nodded when she said that and smiled at her. "By the way, what's the relationship dynamic with you guys now that you got remarried Natalie. I don't think I've ever asked." Natalie sighed when I asked her that. "Honestly, it's a little more complicated now." 

Will then sighed and went to rub her back. "It's weird because I am now Owen's dad so...that's a bit strange. I actually am his legal father since I adopted him...well I am in the process of adopting him. We filed in January so, it's not yet finalized." I nodded when he said that and smiled. "I am sure that Jeff is smiling down from heaven because he must be appreciative of the fact that you stepped up to take care of his son." Will smiled when I said that and agreed with me. "Honestly, I hope he is. He is always on my mind when I made decisions."

Natalie turned to look at him when he said that and was a little shocked. "He is?"
