Sophie put on a purple, cropped tank and ripped, black jean-shorts in preparation for the party. When she got there, a good amount of people had already arrived, some upperclassmen but mainly freshmen. The freshmen all looked lost.

Unlike many others, Sophie hadn't arrived with a roommate or a friend. All alone, she needed to loosen up and gain some confidence as soon as possible. She definitely did not want to spend her first college party alone.

On the drink table, there was some unknown bottle wrapped in a brown paper bag. Assuming it was hard liquor, Sophie immediately poured it into a red solo cup.

Her intoxication levels and confidence increased simultaneously. For an hour, she wove through the crowd, having semi-unintelligent conversations with whoever was available. No one important enough to remember, though.

A little while later, Sophie went back to refill her cup. After deciding upon spiked seltzer, she turned back to the crowd. In no rush to get back into the crowd, she surveyed all of the party attendees.

In the corner of the backyard, Sophie noticed a girl that she had recently followed on Instagram. Sophie didn't actually know her, but she did know that the girl was also a freshmen.

And Sophie also knew the girl was openly bisexual.
