Rules

Of course, no awards or contest is complete without rules. So, without further ado, let us get stuck into them!

1. You must follow TheSerenityCommunity. Please do not unfollow the account because you will need to receive updates from the account which are important.

2. Add this book to your private reading list to get updates and give this book a shout out on your message board to spread the word!

3. Be respectful. Simple and basic rule but it is very important. You must be respectful to everyone. This includes the head admin, moderators, fellow contestants/participants and judges. Any form of disrespect will lead to you losing your spot automatically.

4. Be patient. Yes, we will have a timeline up once we have sufficient books but there might be some delays. The head admin, moderators and judges have lives outside of Wattpad so we would prefer not to be hurried.

5. If you are a judge, you must be willing to work with us and communicate.

6. All stories must be in English.

7. Do not bribe your judge or be rude to the judge. If this happens, we will take your name out and replace you.

8. No bullying or being rude. The Serenity community are an inclusive bunch and will not tolerate any negative behaviour.

9. You must have more than FIVE chapters published. This does not include filler chapters (introductions, aesthetics, etc)

10. If you change your title or username throughout the competition you must inform us beforehand and not last minute – after we have revealed the judges. It becomes a hassle after the chapters have been published and any changes after your judges are revealed will not be changed.

11. If you are a judge and must pull out, you must inform us. Do not just leave. We do not have time to chase after people and we are certainly not mind readers.

12. Participants are only allowed to enter one book in only one genre. This is to give others an opportunity as well.

13. If you are a judge, you must send in the results by the timeline and must be able to read LGBTQ+ books as Serenity is all about being inclusive! If, for whatever reason, you can't judge by the timeline, you must PM us and explain to us why.
