Last time on The Avian...

Kahili traveled to Meridian and met Aren, who denied him service at first. This drove him to visit the Nether and take a job as a miner. Kahili found Netherite, but the mine was attacked by Wither Skeletons. Thankfully, few were hurt.

Afterward, Kahili met a Netharan named Infernius, who rediscovered the material used to forge the Royal Netherblade. Kahili tried taking the Netherite he had mined but was attacked by the mining company to get it back.

Now Kahili is going back to K'arthen to find the Unyielding Legion ship Obsydian was supposed give supplies to. Can the Avian find out what the Legion is planning?

Kahili was not tired. Which was good, because he needed to intercept the ship which Obsydian was intending to load with supplies. The sun was beginning to set, and the Avian was running out of time.

Kahili figured the best person to go to about this was Maxwell. So he flew to his home to find clues. Kahili knocked on the door, and Maxwell soon opened it. "Ah, Kahili, my old friend! Come in, quickly."

Kahili sat down at the table across from Maxwell. "I need help figuring out when and where the ship is arriving. The one Obsydian was supposed to load with supplies." Maxwell nodded. "I suspect that it will be on the coast by Mount Igneous."

Mount Igneous was a mountain named after a young Magnorite named Igneous, who had sacrificed himself to stop K'arthen's tyrannical ruler, Malakai. Reaching the mountain would be a difficult task in and of itself, let alone fighting the Unyielding Legion. In fact, Kahili had never done any infiltration. So this would prove to be extremely hard.

"You're going just like that?" Maxwell asked. Kahili nodded. "Maybe eating something will give you more energy to fight. I took your advice this time," Maxwell told the Avian.

After eating some of Maxwell's not burnt food, Kahili set out to intercept what was supposed to be a shipping of materials. He noticed that Maxwell took his advice when cooking the bacon, which wasn't surprising.

Kahili soared over the rough terrain of K'arthen, eventually reaching a large mountain. That has to be it. Mount Igneous. The Avian slowed to a stop as he approached a pier. The sun was sinking below the horizon, meaning there were 13 hours before the festival began.

The Avian was perched on a steep hilltop. He watched as members of the Unyielding Legion pulled their ship into the dock. Time to strike. Kahili swooped down and shot the two legion members loading crates and chests onto the ship. He crept into the galley of the ship and hid behind some crates and chests.

Some other members of the Unyielding Legion finished loading the ship, but were cautious as they had seen their comrades' corpses. This was when Kahili would try to listen in and gather information. A gruff voice said, "Are all the preparations ready for the festival?" He presumed someone else had nodded because the next thing he heard was "Take this ship out of the harbor! It's time to sail back to the prison!"

Kahili tried to decipher what all of that meant. Preparations and the festival. Then it hit him as soon as the ship started moving. He wished he would have realized it before, it was such a perfect opportunity for an assault. Lots of civilians and important figures gathered in one place, it was a flawless plan. However, unbeknownst to the Unyielding Legion, Kahili was prepared for it.
